I'll never forget my first world PvP raid. I formed a group with my friends and guildies, we had almost 40 people. We traveled to the Wetlands and gathered just outside of Menethil Harbor. Once everyone was together, we stormed the keep and annihilated all of the defenders with little resistance. We climbed onto the roof and took some screenshots of our victory, then the Alliance began to overwhelm us. We retreated and the Alliance counter-attacked at Hammerfall. The bloodiest battle I've ever experienced in Warcraft took place there. Every inch of the ground was littered with skeletons when it was over. Whenever I get bored with Warcraft I think of that glorious day and form a world PvP group. They are never a let down!

One of my favorite moments was when I was dragging a friend through Gnomeregan. It's probably one of those, "Had to be there" moments.
My friend died atop the elevator to the lower level somehow. I took my jumper cables and they worked! They worked too well. The elevator went down just as he accepted the rez, causing him to miss it. I beat him to the bottom with my feet safely planted on the ground. He landed not so safe with his face planted into the ground.
I was laughing with tears in my eyes for about 10 minutes.

Most epic moment has to be the start of the Sapphiron fight, after seeing it in videos, it was awesome to be able to go Rambo through it at level 70!

I really have tons and tons of moments I'm quite fond of.
I guess I'll take the most emotional one as an example, which is easily when my guild finally managed to kill Kael'thas (The 25man of course) quite some months ago.
We had been pretty much steamrolling our way from Karazhan to and through Magtheridon, Gruul and eventually also SSC (We had a nifty history of killing bosses on first try) cleared and Vashj dead. The astonishing part about our first-try kills on new bosses was the fact only two-three of the players in our guild at the time was experienced in the content. The rest of us was all newbies all the way from Karazhan and onwards. We weren't super-geared nor super-experienced, so it really felt great making such easy progress.
Either way.. We quickly got Tempest Keep on a farm bar Kael'thas, which we purposely stayed away from for two weeks or so to gear up and prepare a bit. And really.. I think we spent like 3-4 weeks before we managed to kill him. We cleared SSC and TK most of the time so, in total I guess we had like 6-7 wipe nights on him (probably more but hard to remember.. 4 hour raids anyway).
I think everyone was determined to kill him, but it was tiresome. Though eventually, during the last try of the night (We also have a history of killing end-bosses on the "Last try of the night") something, whatever it was, just clicked. The first three phases went smoother than they ever had really, and we managed to make our way to P5 for the -first time- .. I was dead myself at the end, and I really was sitting at the edge of my seat with god-knows how high of a pulse when he started the descent from 10% downwards.. I think there was, the tank, 4-5 DPS and 4-5 healers alive at that point, and they managed to struggle until he finally, FINALLY died...
The ventrilo screaming was insane, and personally I was actually crying for a brief moment. It just felt so insanely good.. Can't even start describing how good it felt to see him finally fall over. A great accomplishment for everyone, and I think, even now that we're in Sunwell, for most of us who were there for the first kill nothing will ever beat it bar maybe Kil'jaeden or M'uru.. Kalec felt good to as it acted as a sort of "knocking down the door" of SWP. But really, Kael'thas was such a brillient, epic encounter to finally master.
Oh, memories...

Ok, so the best World of Warcraft moment I had would have to be when my guild downed Nef the first time, now EVERYONE knows how hard that fight was back in the day. I was a hunter and the first class call was hunter's, so Im spamming dps hard and totaly forgot to take my bow off and well it broke LOL, I had no replacement bow with nothing else to do I had to melee Nef from 95%... What fun that was lol so there is like 5-8 rogue's and then me a hunter meleing down Nef along side me was my killer pet banglash from STV :D. But in the end we downed him and thats when vent BLEW up in yelling cuz we finally downed him after a few weeks of non-stop attemps on him. I got my T2 chest :D I was so happy lol that would have to be my best moment in WoW to this day. MELEE HUNTERS FTW! :) lol

My favorite wow moment happend last week. It's midnight, we strugle to kill Illidan for the 3rd time. The raid isn't going very well, we keep wiping for 3 hours. The guild had better times, 10 of our best raiders left us to make their own guild. Another wipe. Raid time is officialy over. The raid leader makes a ready check for another try, 2 must go but they are replaceable. We replace those two and our new rogue starts questioning us about the fight. He never faced Illidan. The raid has doubts about getting another try, some just realise that they have to go. The raid leader tries to cheer ppl up, but the raid doesn't respond. The /o looks terrifing: "we will colapse", " many will leave after this wipefest". We decide to give it another try. Illidan roars once again: "You are not prepared!". Silence. The dps is awful. Phase 2 starts and it's going well, elementals are dead. Phase 3 starts, the dps awakes and we start to hope again. 30%, and everyone is alive. Maiev is here to help:" Ah, my long hunt is finally over. Today, Justice will be done!". 25% - Metamorphosis, i manage to take aggro everythings works like a swiss clock. Shadow Demons make their entrance and i begin to soc. I ignore the threat list and a wise shammy manages to take aggro. Shadow Blast in the middle of the raid and five people are dead. " We can still make it" people yell on TS. We recover and things look cool again. 2%, the MT drags him into a trap but he gets out of the healers range and he is down. The fr tanks try with desperation to aggro but the lord of Outland seeds death among us. " Nuuuuukee". We watch with breathless how Illidan 1shots each and everyone of us. Akama and Maiev are still there and.. our new clueless rogue. Amazedness! Maiev's words: " It is over. You are beaten" sound like music to our ears. We have a new hero! This guild will survive after all!
Here is a screenshot a friend made:
