My favorite moment in WoW would have to be my first Kara run. My main (druid) had been 70 for a couple months at this point, and I was starting to get bored of the game because I could never find the time to raid or anything of the sort. So eventually a few friends of mine managed to convince me to blow off a couple hours of sleep, so I ended up going to my guild's Kara run that night, got a few epics including a Stranglestaff ( I didn't know that it was a low drop rate at that point), and overall had a great time learning the fights and what not.
Since then I've progressed to T5/T6 content, but I'll still never forget that one Kara run that gave me a reason to play WoW again.

There are too many great times to list. One would've been when I was somewhere in my mid-50's as a ret paladin, I offered to help some friends fight off lower lvl players of the opposing faction as they had been messing with guildies. Well we were out looking for these guys when instead we (I was with a lvl 30 or so hunter) ran into a lvl 69-70 paladin. We fought him several times, he wasn't that good and it was so much fun for me stunning and healing, bubble-bandaging, and doing whatever else I could to stay alive. We burned him down to below 50% a couple times, though he never had to heal or anything, it still felt like a moral victory, and was an exciting fight.

I started playing WoW as a Tauren Hunter. I was very into the Warcraft story, having been playing Warcraft since the release of Warcraft 2.
So as I'm leveling up, I'm at somewhere between levels 22-24, and at this point, AQ gates opened on my server. This was a whole new experience for me; I was absolutely fascinated. I remember staying up wee into the hours of the night, despite having school the next morning. I didn't know anything about the Ahn'Qiraj story, and it was really the defining moment I point to when my obsession with WoW truly was launched, because I was sitting there reading about AQ and seeing all this happen before my very eyes (i.e. the giant crystals with the Silithids and Qiraji surrounding them in The Barrens and 1k Needles) and saying to myself, "This is incredible."
I still wish I could see the opening of the AQ gates on a server to this day, just so I could witness this now with a large wealth of knowledge about Ahn'Qiraj and its storyline.
So there's my favorite WoW moment! The opening of the AQ gates on my server in the first month of me playing WoW.

My favorite moment had to be when I experienced my first Illidan kill. I never did raid much Pre-BC other than Molten Core, so being in a good enough guild that we could down Illidan, and that I was there for it is something I wanted to experience since I first started playing.I was really grateful to be a part of that.

My favorite memory from WoW is from raiding Blackwing Lair, and reaching Chromaggus' room for the first time before any expansion. Seeing the skeletons of drakes and such, and then this little lever after killing some mobs the whole raid was really excited to get a first try in at the two-headed dragon dog. Everyone was looking around, checking things out and having a blast over Teamspeak, when suddenly our main tank and part raid leader, runs up to the lever that pulls Chromie and says out over TS, "Hey guys what's this lever do?" and promptly pulls it. Seconds later, the boss wipes the entire raid, and everyone is yelling at him and laughing so hard. Apparently he'd truly been clueless to the purpose of the lever when he pulled it. Everyone in the raid had a great laugh, and poked fun at him for a good long time about him pulling random levers.

Well lets see in the world of warcraft I have had so many favorite moments... But since on the first page and the original post all seem to go along with when the game was still fresh... I shall begin a memory from that time.
I had created my first character and it was a Human Mage... I will never forget it I thought anything that could throw fireballs had to be the best character in the game :D Ah the good ol' days. Well lets see after going through northshire abbey and you know pretty much noobing my way through figuring out how to buy spells.. Edit my options.. Everything amazed me every nook and cranny of Northshire. I explored every inch of it before I ever even got the quests trying to take on the bandits at level one it seemed like every second in the game would be an epic adventure and so I decided to set out on one. I left Northshire somewhere in the lowers im thinking like level 3 and began to travel to Goldshire... I remember coming into the new town and people dueling there it was so amazing it was like the buildings were the greatest things I had ever laid my eyes upon I still remember how glued my eyes were to the screen because when I got away from the computer many hours later my eyes were watering and I figured out I wasn't used to something this great. Well as my memory continues I was at Goldshire and decided to walk down a path(The path towards redridge mountains) and as I traveled I saw murlocs and wolves and bears they all were scary I remember squeeling the first time a lv 8 bear attacked me(Lol at goofiness). I finally entered Redridge and saw the ? level stuff and this was terrifying I thought I had entered a level 60 zone... But that wasn't going to stop me and here is the part of my memory that I still laugh about today the part I wanted to share with you. I had gotten over to the top of that small hill near the flightmaster for lakeshire and if any of you are familiar with it you will know there is a single black whelp that spawns up there. Well at the time I had no idea where I was what creatures were there or anything of the sort so as I climbed this hill I got the something is targeting with a spell target popped up with a picture of a dragon and I screamed "Oh MAH GAWSHHH a DRAGON IS KILLING ME" I was one shotted almost instantly as I screamed that. Well the graveyard wasn't far and I walked back and as I sat there in spirit form and then ressurecting I didn't care about dying again the only thought that was going through my mind was "Where is that dragon oh man I bet it looks so cool." Well so looking for a dragon what do you think I did (Dragons fly DUH) so I had my camera view tilted towards the sky searching for the dragon casting its fireball on me(BAM) one shotted again. I spent atleast 4-5 deaths looking at the sky before I finally decided maybe it was too high up for me to see(LOL) and ran to the flight master and started exploring the town until I was finally told by a friend of mine its not safe there that I should use my hearthstone so I was back in Northshire and continued my adeventures in the World of Warcraft.
I hope you enjoy my memory of when I was but a small little mage making a great adventure into lands unknown just reciting this tale has made me happy in the remembrance of it all. :]

My favorite moment was also a very embarrassing one, but one I look back on with endless mirth:
I was in the middle of berating a Paladin friend of mine in Kara for accidentally auto-running into a group of mobs because he wasn't paying attention and hit the button by mistake, when I look up from cleaning out my trackball (which happened to hold my auto-run button), and see that I am no longer with the main group, and have done just the thing I was making fun of my raid buddy for doing. Needless to say, I ate my words, and got a lot of well deserved grief for that!
