Ah fondest memories, that's a tough one for me. I'd have to say it was before BC raiding with my guild, when we were learning the bosses of Blackwing Lair. Like, I remember the night where we first killed Nefarian so well.
It was ridiculously late and we usually called our raids at 11, but we were playing until 1 in the morning because of a few select folks who seemed to believe we would finally kill Nefarian that night, where others argued that we should just try tomorrow. Fortunately, before one last attempt our raid leader said this would be our last for the night. And I'm so glad it was, because that was the moment we got our first kill on him, and while the raid leader HATED people screaming over vent and going crazy for first kills, none of us cared, and I'd wager that about half of the people on vent went deaf that night.

When i first walked into ragnaros' room after weeks of learning the other parts of molten core. Him spawning was the first "epic" feeling boss encounter i had seen. This moment pretty much made me fall in love with raiding and I've been a raider ever since.
But another close contender would be during open beta when we had about 30-40 level 15-25's swim down the BB coast to take the boat to ratchet and attempt to raid crossroads. It was the first time I'd ever seen that many people together working together in a game before.

If I shall pick my favorite moment it would be when we killed Illidan for the first time.
A little background story first.
My previous guild on my paladin has dissbanded, I was leveling my first lv.60 char pre-tbc to 70.
I had decided he should be a feral tank, while I was tanking CoT: Durnholde at lv.68 I got a whisper from a player named Grean, he wanted to know if I was interested in raiding with my feral.
All current feral already had guilds and no feral was to be found at that time so he searched through the almost lv.70 ferals to find one for the guild Outcasts.
As soon as I dinged 70 I sent in an guild apply to the guild Outcasts.
I got in with no problem as feral and they had just cleared Karazhan in raid progress so we had two groups running every week.
From there on I continued my feral career for about a year until we hit Black Temple and during two intense days we fought against Illidan and we concurred.
Now after about 2 months off farming Illidant and the introduction off Sun Well the guild fell apart.
Many players felt that Illidan was their goal and sun Well did not interest them enought, only the core members off outcasts wanted to continue but it was not enough sadly.
Our MT and Guild Master Grean made a movie off our first Illidan kill and made it to a goodbye movie to all off Outcasts.
After seeing that movie I felt so proud of what we have achieved and the time we spent together.
That was my best WoW moment, we all should be sad for the guild but we all stood proud instead.
I'm hoping I can fight along-side most off them in WotlK as a Death Knight tank instead off a feral.
If you wanna see the movie Grean created then you find it here:

As I first made my way through this adventure I thought myself merely a common Mage on a mission of self-improvement and magic learning. I had no idea of the undertaking I was about to embark upon. I was always willing to help those that needed it in defeating bosses and clearing dungeons that were infested with "undesirables".
As I crossed over through the Dark Portal and heard the Doom Lord for the first time I was overcome with a feeling of purpose and dedication to the Alliance. At that point I knew that the Horde must be defeated and that the Universe must be cleansed of the scourge that plagues us. This was a turning point in my life and one I will never forget. Remember the Sunwell!

I'd have to say that my favorite WoW moment was when I had my first Kara run with my hunter. I was totally new and clueless to the raid and ended up walking away with four epics. ^_^

My favorite moment in World of Warcraft was in Loch Modan ...
Me and my best friend (Charles) were doing quests when 3 mobs spawned ... He told me to cast bless of protection on her char and run away .
Following his orders, i cast it and ran away but it wasn't on him.. I cast it on myself run away and let him die.
He got mad at me but we still talking to each other but when I remember what happened with him I start laughing.

Hey i havnt been on wow as long as some. my first and main toon is my 41 human mage. but in that short time ive had some very memorable moments. The first time i walked in an instance. when i got my first lvl. or especially when i got my first mount. wut a happy guy i was. but i can honestly say my favorite time in wow was being able to talk to all the fun people in wow. to sit on a beach or in town on a chair and talk to someone who is miles away but they seem so close. to be able to make some of the best ppl around the globe. that is whqat i think wow is all about, fun. that is my favorite part of wow.
