Best single target healer?

I have been a little worried about the changes in 3.2, as I have a crit heavy build right now to regen my mana.. But I like Vellas' outlook, and I too have been practicing my SS, FoL spamming maneuver.. Considering that that combo is already crit happy, the extra HoT should make it extremely powerful. I just wonder how the HoT is going to stack when spamming FoL.
And back to the OP, I'd just like to point out, that after you get it going with
Judgements of the Pure
,
Light's Grace
, and some haste gear, my "slow" heal casts in under 1.5 seconds, and FoL is pushing the GCD. Happy spamming.
FoL should always be pushing the GCD (actually, it should be behind it all the time, what with JotP), so that's not much of a feat ;) When your Holy Light starts pushing below the GCD, then you've got some haste on your hands :P

If you want to toss out monster heals all night long with a single target healing throughput that NO OTHER CLASS CAN MATCH, then roll a Pally. Yes, it is true, no other class can heal a single target as well as a Paladin. Druids can come close, but just don't have the throughput a Paladin has.
My Disc Priest just made an angry face at you. And boy, was it a REALLY angry face.
Not saying Disco's are better, but come on... comparing a Resto Tree to a Holy Pally for single-target heals? Of course it's a no-contest. :P But your 18k-20k Holy Lights are matched by my 12k-15k Penance, which causes about 4k mitigation through Divine Aegis, along with being able to toss out that bouncy AOE heal and tossing out 5k mitigating Power Word: Shields all over the raid -- even while single-target healing.
Just saying, man -- we raid with a Holy Pally and my Disco together as tank healers, and there's a reason we're chosen for the role. ;)

While it kinda pains me to do this, because a) it will be two disc priests in a row commenting on a paly forum, and b) because i am knocking my own spec,
wtf 15K penance?
ok, sure when i get all three ticks of my penance to crit I am probably at 13K myself, but those are crits, not a crit, THREE IN A ROW. Now the arguement about shields, and the bonus of divine aegis, sure, we might come close to a second place, with those in play, but I am really starting to recognize how group healing is supposed to be like with Disco and I will gladly bow to a holy paly for MT healing...and to all of you holy paladins out there, when you need a mana break in 3.2, just ask us to put on the Pain suppression :)

You don't need to bow to anyone. Holy paladins are very effective single target healers, but DiscPriests are just amazing at mitigating damage all the time. It makes a big difference to heal with a Discipline priest in your raid and i can feel it when i heal. Damage is less bursty and i can get away with FoLing more. Disc-Paladin tank healing combo is awesome

Quoted for emphasis since you seem to have mistook what I said. :P

Always bugs me when peo...ink it's pretty obvious.
Well from this post, its pretty clear why you wouldnt count on those crits if you speced into Divine Guardian. For that..ok amount of mitigation, you gimp yourself out of both 10% cheaper instant casts AND 5-8% crit chance.. Those of us within a few % of 40% holy crit unbuffed CAN count on those crits more.

Heh you can repeat it a 3rd time if you like. I didn't mistake it, I just commented on bits and pieces of various comments and put out my own opinion.
Note that I didn't directly quote you. That wasn't a mistake.
And my QFE wasn't directly at you, either. ;)
