I'll be doing my dailies along with my regular raiding. I learned from experience that there is no point in waiting or farming like crazy before an x-pac, since I did that for 1 month after WOTLK was announced. I regret it.
It'll be a very long time before we see cataclysm be released, so I'm doing what I always do, raid.

do low level quests in zones i havent played in much so i can make memories, also just roam the current azeroth, oh and try and get the wrath experiance done
edit: oh and if you wanna get a jump start on exp get 25 quests done that are near your level if not at (dont do level 80 quests because for all we know they might not even give exp) and wait till cataclysm, when cataclysm comes out and you can level again turn in all those quests for instant level 81

Same thing as I've been doing up until now; work toward progressing in Ulduar. Cataclysm might be fun, but I still have loads to do this expansion.

Hmm... my Paladin will be pretty much ready to take on new challenges. I leveled throughout all of Northrend as Prot, but now with dual specs and a Retribution spec, I should enjoy leveling through the new zones a lot. If I get into the Open Beta, I will test the dungeons out (not forgetting to feed Wowhead dataz!), so I don't die from the excitement (or a nasty spell I didn't know about) when I do them live. I am still not sure if I'll pick Archaeology, level it, and then go to 85, or hit 85 first so I gain access to all the juicy stuff there (raiding, Paths), and then level Arch.
My DK, who is also 80... will probably sit 80. I'll level him to 85 just so I can use his Alchemy at max, but that should be about it.
My Hunter, who I expect to hit 80 within a week... will become my second raiding char, unless I fall in love with a Shaman (69) I plan on leveling next. Or a Druid (59).
But yea... so much stuff to do, so many achievements to cover...
