Well, I just started playing a warlock, and the first thing i did was read some of the stickies here. I saw that Necrosis was pretty popular, so i tried it out. Right now im using "Shard" to manage my soul shards. I'm really not that fond of Necrosis, except for 2 things.
1- I like that it sends shards to a certain bag, because I dont want to waste a bag slot on a soul pouch.
2- I like the funny messages it gives when you summon a demon, or mount up.
So I'm wondering, are there any individual add-ons that do this? Or will i just have to endure Necrosis?

Soul pouch ain't no waste of a bag slot, come raiding you should always be full on shards.
Humm,, i just noticed you mentionned you are starting a warlock,, my bad.

Ahh c'mon, don't be unnecessary hardasses. OP just barely started the class, what's wrong with enjoying it? I still get a giggle everytime I see someone yell I AM SUMMONING A STEED FROM A NIGHTMARE!.
DoT Timer and Event Horizon are pretty good. I don't use necrosis but I know many locks that swear by it. My lock hit 60 before I even started looking for class-specific addons, so you won't level any less by not using em.
Also, it may seem like a waste of bagspace to get a soul bag, but it's really not. Get one, and keep it full! You'll need em.

but do you giggle
with
or
at
them?
seriously though, every warlock (in fact every player who's been playing for a while) knows all the little sayings that necrosis uses. if you REALLY want to have some flavour text with your spells then make your own macros and please don't use /yell.
eg.
/cast summon <petname>
/em does some RPetc.

Ok, thanks for the help, i guess i gotta stick with my 24-slot soul pouch='( and since people seem to be annoyed by the macro things, ill top that as well...

I changed from necrsosis to fortexorcist a while back, all i miss is the proc alerts (backlash in paticular) and I can't find them for the life of me on fort. Have to keep an eye on my buffs for the symbol (it's a pain in the arse).
Otherwise it's good. Much better than necrosis.

MSBT is the shiz but power auras is good too, if you're more of a visual person.

You don't need an addon for shard management. Just get a Soul Bag (of any size). You even get a 16 slot one as quest reward so you don't even have to pay anything.
Soul Shards are unique with a maximum number of 32, meaning that you can at all times only care 32 with you. If you have a Soul Bag they will automatically be placed in that. Now assuming you don't want to waste money on a 32 slot one you can just equip the free 16 slot quest reward bag and keep 16 shards in your bank (!). That way all 16 shards you can carry will fit in your bag and there won't be additional ones littering your inventory since the 16 that are in the bank make sure that no more then 16 will be created while questing.
Works for any number of shards, e.g. if you want to keep 8 in your inventory just place 24 in the bank, if you want to keep 20 in your inventory place 12 in the bank (always for a total of 32).
I don't like special Warlock addons and using this trick I can do perfectly fine without any (excep DoTimers but that one is universal, I use it for other classes, too).
DoTimers + Power Auras is really all you need ;)

My personal preference is ForteXorcist. I just use it for Cooldowns, Timers, and to let my raid members now they need to get off their butts and come click this portal so I can make them cookies.
I also use Baggins, which isn't really Warlock-centric at all, but because I only have a 28 slot shard bag but like to keep 32 shards, it keeps all my shards in one place, which just eases my OCD a little.
Oh, and mindthegap5, you can sort of make Forte track your procs. I do it on my DK and on my Warlock to an extent. What you have to do is click the checkbox next to Buffs (its like a sky blue color by default I think). Then you go to the bottom just below that section, there is an area where you can control the display behavior of your timers. You will want to add all the buffs you don't want to track, like for me, I filter out Bloodlust, Pyroclasm, Lightweave, Empowered Imp, etc. etc. and put them on '"Ignore".
Then you will want to add all the buffs you do want to track, like Backdraft and Life Tap (I also track Illustration of the Dragon Soul stacks so I know how long I have before it falls off) and put them on "Show".
It might take a little messing around with to get the behavior just the way you want it to, but the bright blue bar is pretty noticeable and it works well for me.
