Remove all addons. Framerate jumps about 5 or more depends how many addons you use. Close all programs running in background while playing. And that's pretty much it. You can't do anything else, how i know? I have the same problem :O
The best way is buy new PC, I'm on the way of doing it ^^

Running with few addons will help
Turning down all video settings will help
Keeping the machine plugged in will help
Keeping the laptop cool will help! <--- (This one many people miss)
The two above me hit it pretty good. I just wanted to comment a little on power and heat. Most if not all laptops have a variable speed processor, so when it's on battery it cuts it speed down (I had a laptop that went from a 1.6Ghz to a 600Mhz ) so that will be a big change. The second is heat. You'll want to in the very least make sure the laptop is on a hard, clean surface like a desk. NEVER IN YOUR LAP (as the name would suggest...).

It helps keep the laptop cooler, albeit not a whole lot but it helps. There's many models and such and many prices. and quality.
