I'm wondering if Corpse Explosion in a blood tank
would help improve a blood tank's aoe threat. I haven't seen any of the builds that other people have shown take it so I thought I should ask.
Basically, since it's the same cost as DC it wouldn't mess up any rotations. The only thing I can think of is the availablity of corpses. In an aoe pull, by the time there is actually a corpse around for you to detonate, you should have threat enough as it is. On the other hand, blowing up your melee dps who can't do the safety dance is probably worth a talent point.
So, worth it? any other comments on the build while you're here?
As you stated, you should already have sufficient threat by the time something has died. Also, if you're talking about Naxx, one DnD should last pretty much the whole pull. >.>
About your build:
Improved blood presence offers ~80-100 hps if you can maintain 2-2.5k dps, overall it's a very minor talent for tanks and it should be avoided.
You also may want to avoid unholy command, we already have a standard taunt (and if that fails, DG), reducing the CD of it is generally seen as a pvp talent and ought to be avoided for tanking.
Also, dont understimate Blood gorged, it's a great tps increasing talent.
It also looses value in certain trash pulls/ulduar, since many mobs aren't "biological" (it doesn't work on elementals and mechanical units).
Corpse explosion is perfectly viable for blood tanks, but as Grumpig stated, if you're not having troubles with aoe tanking dont bother :)
