I am trying to download the lich king and keep getting the error code 8 repeatedly the tome etc is not usable

Are you trying to install Lich King to an existing WoW installation, or are you installing everything from the WotLK disc?

i am trying to install evrything from the download full version option. on the blizzard site in the account managment area

Some tips:
Make sure you have enough space on your hard drive.
Make sure the account has correct permissions to the place you are installing to.
I don't know what error code 8 is, so you'll have better luck contacting Blizzard.
