Basic "Who's doing what wrong" rules of thumb.
Tank dies first -> Either tank doesn't have enough mitigation or healer isn't efficient enough
Healer dies first -> Tank failed
DPS dies first -> DPS failed
In other words, if you've run it before with other healers and didn't have issues, but can't run it with that particular healer, your gear isn't the problem (unless, like you mention, IF you've been blessed so far and always had healers so good that they somehow compensated for your lack of mitigation, which would be surprising, imo), so I'd think that particular Paladin was the problem more than yourself, but without names, it's hard to tell... As a tank, feel free to inspect your healer before a run so you don't get blamed for failing later if it's the healer's fault...
Providing information about yourself and that paladin healer (character names so we can look them up on beimba or wowheroes) would help a lot to find the exact problem (rather than simply suggesting possibilities).

how much crit ?
how much ap?
24k hp in bear from is low, it is possiable to tank but it you'll need an amazing healer.
if your jc, you should easily have a bunch more hp.
