I've began recently to lvl up my old UD Priest, 73 now. =D My main was a 80 Resto druid so I'm familiar with the healing side of the game. However, priest heal quite differently than druids do. Before I would just use Rejuv, Regrowth, and a WG and be good to go and change it up or add heals pending on the encounter, but for the most part it was almost always the same rotation well over 90% of the fights I did.
So my question is this, what do you use to keep the tanks and raid up for healing, and even in 5 mans? I've found that PoM spam and Renew seem to do the trick, but if I stuck with Fheal than I went oom very fast. CoH is badass but is costs to much mana at the moment for my mana pool to really handle it.
So I'm wondering what are you doing to keep up the tank/raid, and what heals are you using to not go oom.
By the way I am Holy speced, and here is my armory if need be. http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Blackrock&n=Kohrnbread

If you have mana issues, you should try this spec : http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#bVcbhZcxtcc0qih0xuVo
-Meditation is a must-have, especially since the spirit nerf. Even if a holy priest try to be out of 5SR as long as possible, you'll still be under it at least 50% of the time.
-Improved Healing : -15% mana cost for the main healing spell, can't say no!
-2/2 Surge Of Light : more free and instant cast FHeals.
At 74 you can put your new point in Inner Focus, then fill the rest of the Holy tree.
You also don't need the glyph of CoH before being 80, and the glyph of PW:S ins't that good for Holy. Personnaly i've got the glyphs for renew and PoH (used to have the one for Lightwell but no matter how long I explain, people just seems unable to click on it :( ).
About the spells, as Barniques said the shield and FHeal shouldn't be regularly used. The only times I use them is when someone is about to die and I don't have the time for a long-cast spell. Here's the way I go in 5-mans (maybe not the most efficient way but I'm fine with it) :
-I throw a PoM and a renew on the tank at the beginning of the fight, always keep renew up and chain pre-cast GHeal.
-If a DPS pulls aggro, I
let this idiot die
cast a shield+renew on him so the tank has the time to pulls aggro back. If he's really low on health I add a FHeal between the shield and the renew, or a CoH to heal also the tank.
-When the whole group is taking damages, PoH+CoH if the PoH is not enough (always try to cast instant/channeled spells right after a long-time cast spell > more time out of 5SR).
