That depends of what you want to o and what you consider good. Do you want to pvp and stomp horde all day, do you want a pvp challenge, or do you just want a server that's not too hard to group up for dungeons?
I'm on the Alliance side of Exodar -US and I like it for pve.

I've heard good things about Doomhammer (my old guild had a few who transferred to that realm).
I play on Llane, and Eastern server. It's a good realm with a whole gamut of styles. We have a fair number of end game guilds, most of which are populated with pretty good folks. Heck, our official forum is even getting more lovey-dovey than ever.
We seem to have a fair amount of alts running around, so low level instancing is possible with a PUG, if sometimes a bit painful to get started. There are a few leveling guilds that may help alleviate this issue, however. For pure social, the guild Spectacular Death may not be a bad way to go, as they tend to be pretty popular.

I play on Suramar, a PST time frame (so west coast). We have a couple great guilds for end game raiding, and plenty of helpful guilds for leveling. Since it's Alliance you'll get terrible Trade chat, but, well, that's unavoidable.

I'm a US PvE only player and have played on half a dozen realms. Any differences between them are minor and temporary.
