Are resto shamans wanted?

Shaman's used to be just a totem dispenser but now i believe they have more viability in raids. I can single heal almost all of the fights in 10 naxx. Except where range limits me of course. I really don't use chain heal spam for healing all that much i find myself using riptide and lesser healing wave much more. And with the new glyphs i think it gives shamans more playability and versatility. I think alot of the people that are asking for shamans for AOE heals are of the old school thinking that all shamans are good for is spamming chain heals.
Shamans have become a very versatile class with it's base in raid heals. However, since we have been eclipsed by holy priests in 3.10, raid healing is no longer our greatest strength.
Shamans are needed because they provide buffs in addition to heals, it is not that a shaman as a healer is in high demand, it is more that a shaman period is in high demand! Shamans are one of the least popular classes in the game that also happen to possess unique and powerful raid buffs (bloodlust!) that can be indespensible to a raid.
Check out the guild recruitment forum and see how many raiding guilds are looking for restoration shamans.
