Dropping 3/5 Dual Weapon Spec for Improved Gouge.

Instead of having 5/5 Dual Weapon Spec, you take 3/3 Improved Gouge and 2/5 Dual Weapon Spec, offering a fair amount of control for a commonly used ability on a short cooldown for damage output.

gouge=too much energy+too short of an effect+not a lot of damage+positional=not as great as more damage for OH mut damage. With preparation you should have more control and cc than you are gonna need for a full arena or even a round of BG.

Well, what glyphs are commonly used? Mutilate, Cloak of Shadows, and Vigor/Evasion? Dropping the last for Gouge coupled with Improved Gouge would make a 5.5s incapacitate on a 10s cooldown that costs 35e. That's pretty excellent CC.

I'm assuming this is for PvP (because if it's PvE then just

) then doing the above isn't very helpful for the most part. Gouge is broken usually before it's full duration is up anyway due to rupture, and your teammates DoTs or, in a BG, AoE or other peoples attacks. This may, though, be viable for a lot 2v2 combo's, if you're having trouble keeping an opponent CCed long enough to kill his/her teammate, like in DK/Holy Pally combos.
Buuut....if I take I rough estimate the damage lost from taking 3 points out of DW spec will probably mean roughly the same result.\

i don't use CoS or evasion glyph. i use eviscerate for burst and if you are doing arena, then why the hell would you use CoS or evasion, if you have preparation... You are only gonna need the ability once... maybe, when your CC is down, or WW, but even with WW you can Disarm, and poof, nada. CoS... again, they should be CC'd or you should be dodging/ they should be missing.
