A specific mob's loot is decided when it spawns in. The number and level of players in the group killing has no effect on what it drops.

Farming money in SM is not very time officent....
sure, you can do it fast ( assuming your 80 )
sure, lots of stuff may drop
BUT
greens and even blues at that lvl sell for less than 50 silver
a argent turny daily gives 24g...and is just as fast
Although to answer your question Toldu is right....this method may be a waste of time =(
Uh, considering that the spec he linked is for a level 60, I think he's level 60.

I helped a guildie run SM for exp recently.
He wasn't interested in loot, I wanted DE items.
No lie, three BOE blues dropped while we were in there. I offered, he said no thanks.
After his rested XP was used up, we switched places. He got on his 80, I got on my alt. Again, he didn't want loot. Two MORE BOE blues dropped!
That night, I helped run another toon through SM. This time I passed on the loot for him. Only one BOE blue dropped, and barely any greens, on multiple passes. It's all just random what will drop on any given pass through SM. However, the more times you go through it, the more likely you will eventually end up with some decent "Twink" items that you can sell for higher prices, depending on your server economy.
