I want to transition to FFB, when can i?

hi i'm currently specc'd arcane for raiding, but i really like how FFB plays, so i want to transition to FFB once i have the gear for it (i noticed considerably higher DPS as arcane).

here's my armory, i'm just starting to get the +27 hit rating jewels and those will be replacing the crappier gems i currently have socketed: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Boulderfist&n=Jokulmorder

i was just wondering what gear i should go for, or what stats i should have before attempting FFB. i know my current gear isn't optimal for arcane, but i want the transition to FFB to be as smooth as possible, so i'm sort of layering on crit gear. with FFB spec, i have ~32% chance to crit with fire spells unbuffed, and about 43% chance to crit buffed. what should i aim for?

also, i think i'm ready to start doing naxx10, and possibly naxx25 as i've heard the DPS requirements for both are pretty much the same. i pull about 2.8k DPS, but i've peaked at 3.2K sometimes; that's using ABx3->Arbarr, Mbarr when it procs.

oh i meant i have ~32% crit w/fire including molten armor (i didn't consider that buffed).

so after getting capped, what crit rate should i be looking at to go for FFB? like 30% completely unbuffed (no molten armor haha)?

30% crit unbuffed before molten armor is not unreasonable post-change for a ffb spec. All that is a whole flippin' pile(or one really good night with a leprechaun stuck to your shoe) of naxx10/25 runs to round out your gear with the occasional OS filler.

You might be specced arcane, but like you said, you're geared for FFB. If you were properly geared for arcane, a more natural path would be to go fireball spec since it is reliant on haste.

Your gear can handle naxx 10, but can the other players handle it? I started playing my druid and his gear is much better than my mage's was when I started 10 man naxx. Suffice to say, I cant get into 10 mans even if I can pull 3.7k dps. For some reason, people expect 25 man naxx geared people to be running 10 man naxx these days =/

Yea lazy people like easy mode when it comes to raiding. I used to help a friend run a guild and people would get completely bummed out after wiping for a third time. There are some really selfish and pathetic people out there.

awesome, my guild understands that i'm geared for naxx, and we've got a lot of people who are in the same gear situation as me, so i'm fine as long as i'm ready for it.

thanks for all the responses guys, i'll aim for that 30% unbuffed crit rate!
