well for you doing it fast might be fun but for me there is nothing more fun than a 2 or 3 hour av. my personal longest was 3 hours and 11 minutes and i had the time of my life. and if your just going for honor those long matches you can get a lot more because you can farm the other side. imho i wish that killing drek wasnt an autowin because that would remove a bunch of the pve players who just want to kill drek and "get it over with".

it might be true but turtling can help you win, like right now on my lock im in the 61-70 bracket, well a week ago i got into av and we were down something like 580-250 and they had a full 40 we had 30 well we hunkered down at the last two towers and managed to bleed the horde team dry and ended up winning the match. btw got top 5 in damage honor and kbs so me ftw :)

In my Battlegroup, i have noticed that Alliance does win a huge amount of the time in AV, whereareas in WSG/AB/EotS, Horde wins most of the time. Alliance does have innate advantages in AV with their topography setup. Their' uphill, so they can jump/slowfall down the hill, while Horde must go up the path to get to them. Only one way to get into their base, across a bridge which is a perfect choke point along as well as being within range of their NPC Archers. There are several ways to get within the Horde base (Jumping over the wall, etc).
But alot of the time on my Battlegroup, alot of the Horde likes to be retards and not listen to more experienced PvPers. Almost everyone goes to kill Bal, idiots often leave a Bunker after capping it, leaving no defense. Morons run straight into a choke point, getting mowed down before they can even yell "Leroy Jenkins" out of their drooling mouth. Then once Bal is downed, they all go for SPGY, which is heavily defended by Alliance, instead of just running right past the Alliance at SPGY, across the bridge, and taking the undefended AS.
I personally love the bloodshed of a turtle. So many HKs, plus i loot the corpses, then go back to base and reap in the Rep gains through repeatable turn ins. I've been in a turtle before where us Horde were at 180 Reinforcements, while the Alliance were at 500+, and by the end of it, we got the Alliance down to 5 Reinforcements when we hit 0. Great AV, almost everyone was doing what they were supposed to do, and we had a good AoE/Healer setup.
