Ele Shaman - Gremlikahn (only one in whole game - so you can look me up)
Aside from the fact that my gear is kinda lacking; I'm wondering why I'm not doing as much dmg as I think I should, or at least to the lvl that other Shamans are. I did my first Nexus today as DPS. I cast: LB, FS, LB, LB, CL...repeat. I might throw in somthing different if the situation calls. I ended up coming in 4th...behind the tank even.
Is it me, my gear, or what?
i would have to say it's your gear. you've still got a lot of gear from outlands, and that should all be pretty easily replaced by quest gear in northrend, even if you have to go to leather or cloth to do so.
change your glyph of frost shock to glyph of lightning bolt... that will ridiculously raise your dps right there.. Secondly... is the FS in your rotation referring to frost shock? you shouldn't be using that since it's a high threat spell.. it should be earth shock or flame shock (especially when you get lava burst). From what I see of your spec, you should FILL UP elemental oath, as it increases your spell damage when your clearcasting procs. You also need to fill up Shamanism as it will increase the damage of all of your LBs and LvB's when you get it at 75. in the enhancement tree, you would be better off putting points into thundering strikes over shamanistic focus and improved shields.
keep in mind this info is solely based on increasing your DPS in dungeons... I understand why you took some of the talents that you did for survivability while questing and such.

It's called "lack of Lava Burst" I believe. A crap ton of elemental DPS comes from that spell, a powerful auto-criting attack which you'll be casting every cooldown. Without it I'm not sure what an Elemental shammy should do.

Usually in 5 mans its due to other classes aoe on thrash, did you measure boss fights separetly?
Shaman got very powerfull aoe, which favours Enhancement a bit. Its called Magma totem.
It favours Enh because you practically have to put it on top of the tank to work properly and you have to forget your Totem of Wrath since Magma takes fire slot away.
Still getting into melee range and putting it down is cool, you can also combine this move with Glyphed Thundering Storm (so not to annoy a tank).
The benefit you'll get from Magma on 3+ mobs is worth it.
Also notice that 95% of all bonuses and buffs a shaman gets other dps classes get too, since they got their own toys to boost them it sometimes may look like they overdps you, but consider this good if they do nice dps. A big chunk of it are due to your group buffs. The difference wouldnt be as great if you were not partied together.

Flame Shock only starts getting useful once you get the Glyph AND have Lava Burst available. If not, go with the good old LB-spam (with the occasional CL maybe) from Burning Crusade.
