Druids have more utility. Mages have Pure dps. it's just a matter of what the raid needs, or what the player wishes to accomplish
can a mage Brez? no. innervate? no. heal? no.
can a Boomkin hit #1 on the charts? not if he's with an equally geared/skilled dps class.
