I'll put four or five at a time so keep your eyes peeled.
Ahota woke up in Acherus Hold, Plaguelands. She was recruited into the Ebon Blade under Amal'Thazad. She was sent under his orders as a disciple of frost to follow the will of Ahune the Frost Lord. She collapsed near the Cenarion Outpost in Hellfire and was found by her old freinds Thiah and Galandria. She suffered a lapse in her unbreakable demeanor, and also caught up with Galandria on what happened to the world in her absense. Death gripped her again and she left to complete her quest.
-Ahota continued along the path to the Slave Pens, leaving frozen dead muskaeg in her wake. The air was far from quiet, the sounds of wildlife filled the air. Insects chirped obnoxiously, hydra snarled and snapped at each other hostilly, odd sporefish hissed as they swam passed Ahota's hooves, and even the very plants made noise. Quietly Galandria and Thiah followed in panther form, an odd silence around them as they scared the underlings into hiding.
-Zangarmarsh recovered from the reign of Illidain as well. Spore Bats flew about spreading luminous spores across the deep mistyskies. Nether Rays shredded the mushroom stalks looking for sustenance. Wasps milled about lighting the gloom. Coilfang Reservoir sat silent, the spiraling vortex of mana was just a few twinkling lights in the gloom. Animals that were afraid of appearing before the naga and ogres showed face for the first time in a while. Often in places the water returned and islands were swallowed. The whole of Zangarmarsh was a massive puddle.
-Ahota walked onto serpent lake as if it wasn't an issue. Her frozen footprints gave her a path to move along. Galandria and Thiah shifted to forms more fitted to the water. Ahota walked to the center of the demolished pump where the exhaust pipe was once placed. She took a breath and descended into the depths. A large hole lead to her destination. The remains of naga architecture was battered and cracked, but it was quite clear that the damned elves were fascinated with nothing more than death, serpents, water, and their queen. A water elemental sat waiting in the flooded foyer waiting for her. It bubbled frothily and was bound by two steely gray bracers, the only thing that made it visible against the lake water."Your master has sent word of your coming, come Ahune awaits."It glided off through the water gracefully. Ahota sucked in a bubble and followed, Thiah and Galandria swam quietly behind. As Ahota turned a corner the elemental squeezed through a crack in a ice wall. She gripped Frost-Shatter, but thought. The ice was flawless besides the crack from which the elemental slipped into. Yet with no visible access she had no other recourse. She cracked open the wall.
-The water surged forward and swept the three into the large chamber. Ahota was ready but Galandria and Thiah were not so. They snarled and barked as they were swept onto the frozen floor. Ahota walked forward, she had frozen her feet to the floor. The ice froze over sealing the room again.
"RELEASE ME MORTAL."
-A crystal pulsated in the center of the room. No intricate runes or secret designs were chipped into it. It merely radiated cold, and impatience. Ahota stepped foward. The druids sat in the corner silently.
"QUICKLY MY TIME IS VALUABLE."
-Ahota channeled the power of frost into her fingers. Galandria took a breath. Thiah shivered. Ahota grasped the crystal.
-Chaos broke out as soon as Ahota touched the crystal. The room was transformed into a frozen hell. Galandria and Thiah shifted into their bear forms and braced for the wall of ice and wind, and even still they were dragged back in the explosion. Stalactites and stalagmites of ice erupted from the floor and ground. Several elementals formed from the pandemonium. A massive elemental errupted from the crystal and roared in triumph. Ahota stood resolute before the massive being of ice and death.
"FREEEEEEEDOOOOM HAHAHA, WHERE IS RAGNAROS I WISH TO SWALLOW HIS ESSENCE AND ENCASE HIS ASHES FOR A TROPHY."
"Forgive me Lord, he is dead."
Ahune roared and stared Ahota down, merely inches from her face,
"WHAT? THEN WHY HAVE I BEEN SUMMONED?"
"I have been sent as an emissary of the Ebon Blade I am here to do you bidding."
"WELL THEN WHELP, TAKE ME TO THE FIRE ELEMENTALS SO THAT I MAY SMITE THEM IN THE NAME OF NEPTULON."
"As you will."
-Ahune condensed into another crystal, smaller and having the same sinister feel to it as what surrounded Ahota. She wrapped her hands in some of her charred accolytes robe and picked up the crystal. The druids broke out of the ice that encased them, and gazed in horror.
-Ahota willingly channeled dark energy into a deathgate which she stepped through. The two sprinted into the gate before it shut.
-Galandrial and Thiah hid in a corner. Ahota stood before Amal'Thazad displaying the crystal.
"Very good accolyte, I deem you worthy of the title Deathknight, and privileged enough to tap into the power of our new slave."
"WHAT? TRAITOR I SHALL NOT FORGET YOU! YOUR CORPSE WILL BE PRESERVED FOR ALL TIME! YOU WILL BE A GIFT TO MY LORD! YOU WILL SUUUFFEEEERRRRRR!."
-Amal'thazad silenced the crystal. A trunk appeared in the blizzard underneath him. He gestured towards it.
"Collect your reward Deathknight, true Saronite armor fit for a disciple of the cold."
-Ahota tossed the clothes she wore aside, they didn't mean anything to her anymore. Her new armor was wicked and filled with a sense of wrongness. Blood of an old god, a thing that should not be. Yet it was, skulls adorned the shoulders and as wind passed through them they screamed. Her breastplate was thick and blue icy runes adorned the black metal. The leg plates were spiked at the knees and the joints were crafted with ice. Her boots were treaded, for a grip in unsuitable terrain and for a more "effective" kick. Her gloves were shaped like talons, finger joints of ice.
-Her helmet was spectacular, heinous, but brilliantly crafted. It was not made of Saronite for the most part, but crafted from ice from the shattered frozen throne. It was shaped in the likeness of an enraged undead proto-dragon. Fangs jutted along the side of the side of the helmet, saronite. Several jagged saronite horns ran along the side of the head. The skull shell was black with saronite and even had the unique chip from which the helmet was molded after, and the very graining of the skull was engraved into the metal. The snout even almost seemed to breath frost breath. The Eyes shone with unholy wrath, as if the beast itself hungered for prey. The lips were curled into an eternal snarl.
"Tap into the crystals power, receive the rest your reward"
The crystal rattled with the angry frost lord inside, but was harmless. She tapped into the crystal with her power. The room went white.
Sorry for the major delay IRL was beating me in the face with a sledgehammer. Well...
-The flash cleared slowly. The immense arcane power in the air was palpable, and shrounded Ahota in an icy mist. Ama'thazad condensed the magic into multiple icy runes. Runes of carnage . Runes of suffering. Runes of the Hungering Cold seeking the life of the innocent. Jagged and sharp they depicted what they represented and shimmered in the air with an malevolent glare.
-Amal'thazad began to chant. The runes were placed on Ahota and bit into the saronite. Icy cracks spread in the plate where they landed. They sank deep and scarred her pelt. It was finished. She beheld her new power and wondered. A nearby ghoul ran by, and she took note of it.
-Focusing the new ruinic power flowing in her she crafted talons of ice to grip the ghoul* and hold it infront of her. The ghoul began to snarl and writh uncontrollably. It let out one last blood curtling roar before ice erupted from its maw and covered it completely.
"Creative indeed you will need to make use of this power for the Ebon Blade. The Scourge has sent a new batch of Death Knights against us, The Host of Suffering. Deal with the as you have with this wretched thing."
"As you will master"
Galandria and Thiah prayed to nature for quick travel to moonglade, and they were granted so. The elders would have to hear of what has happened.
-Ahota stormed to the ghoul flight master. An trail of ice filled the air behind her.
"Top floor fast"
-A bony, and armored gryphon leaped to the tauren, and gave her an irritated look. It was the same one from before. She jumped on and they climbed into the sky.
-The Deathknights marched into battle against each other, both in formation and in the sky they readied for the coming fury. Dread Commander Thalanor and Lord Thorval lead the Ebon Blade through sky and earth respectively. Khaz Darkthunder lead the Host of Suffering's Death Knights, Anub'Thelgarn lead the nerubian darters into the fray. They fought on a balcony on the top floor of Archerus and the Host of Suffering emerged out of a massive deathgate.
-The gryphon lead Ahota to Thalanor.
"Amal'thazad has sent me."
"Oh, our experiment is being field tested now? Well then wait for my signal and clean the field of these lapdogs. Oh and don't be afraid to bring down the occasional spider in the meantime."
"As you will."
-A nerubian shrieker screamed and dropped from the sky. Without even looking Ahota froze its wings solid and ignored it. It dropped to the ground and landed with a crunch.
-The Death Knights started to advance. Screams of pain were few, the Death Knights were either disciplined or completely obliterated. Blocks of shifting black were often flecked with bright green, red, or blue. The sky was shrouded with gargoyles and Nerubians, even the occasional bone gryphon or hippogriph.
-Archerus itself seemed to revel in the battle, its surface turned glossy and bones rattled as if they were trying to assemble themselves. Chants started to emerge from the field, rabid from blood lust. Webbing lined the sides of the balcony, and corpses were numerous, until they were forced back into action shortly afterwords.
-Ahota's gryphon charged ahead and Ahota lit the runes on her armor. Immense power crackled along her hands. Willing it, snakes of ice began sweep across the field, and engulf the warriors. The necromancers suddenly couldn't maintain the flow of bodies fast enough and the host's number began the falter. She immediately started radiating frigid cold and the Nerubian fliers dropped out of the sky. One such screamed in horror with its wings iced over and immobile, only to be caught in the gryphon's talons and torn apart.
-Khaz roared out "Target that tauren!" Hundreds bolts of shadow flung out from the mass below. Ahota had no where to go and the gryphon could not fly fast enough, she was running out of options.
-Ahota tapped into the rune on the large shell of her helmet. It's eyes grew bright and a deep roar sounded. Massive burst forth. As the dark energies closed in on Ahota and the gryphon, the wings flapped shut and took the entire attack. The spectral wings went from a clear light blue to a malevolent purple. A jaw appeared under the helmet, gnashing angrily. Color stared to drain from the wings, still collecting shadow energy from the Host of Sufferings' barrage. Dark energy formed in the helmets maw.
"Hold yer fire, hold er I'll feed yer entrails to meh ghouls!" Khaz bellowed.
-The spectral drake bellowed out a roar and a stream of shadowy fire onto the Host of Suffering's army. More sinister than what the most powerful warlocks had, it clung to its target and dug its way into to burn from the inside. In mere moments the entire Scourge division was ash, blowing off the balcony to whence it came.
"Well done" Thalanor said shortly.
-The deathgate shuddered then doubled in size. A massive talon reached through, gouging a hole into archerus.
Nice cliffhanger. Leaves people to think what will happen next. :)
Edit: Referring to part 1
i put as much detail into the armor as i could think of tell me what you think of it
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
I'm working on a drawing of Ahota's runed armor ill post it when its done, do note im ont a proffesional.
- Good story, but Ahune is a minion of the Old Gods as far as I'm aware, Death Knights are former minions of the Lich King. I fail to see the connection between the two.
Ahune is a frost elemental, and quite powerful at that but if i remember correctly its hard for eldritch creatures to manifest in azeroth so he is stuck in the crystal. The Ebon Blade are merely using him as a power source, a potent one at that. I just made the connection Frost=Ice and i wanted an excuse for Ahota to meet Galandria and Thiah in Cenarion Outpost.
Ive been writing for a while but i was just curious, any suggestions?
Ive decided NOT to terminate the series some people like it itll keep going.
Part three is
Re-animation for part two starts now, it should be done soon. Don't ask "exactly" how long it'll take because I have absolutely no clue.
