Since I take it that you are Ret based off of your AP value that you gave and the fact that you are doing arena, here is a little tidbit taken from the comments on
Sacred Shield's description page:
This is now amazing for solo'ing, and for self-protection in groups, as a Ret Paladin. In 3.1, it scales properly with SP gained from sheath of light, so the average unbuffed ret paladin, with about 4K AP unbuffed, will be sitting pretty with a self shield of 1400 damage every six seconds. Under raid conditions (5.5K AP on average). This goes up to 1740.
If you run a 0/17/54 PvE Ret build, with 2/2 Divine Guardian, this increases the total duration of the buff to 60 seconds, and the shield-buff to 12 seconds, without increasing the internal cooldown. That is, it can still proc once every 6 seconds, even though it lasts 12. It also increases the shield by 20%, so it's 1680 shieded solo, or 2090~ damage absorbed under raid conditions.
It's worth mentioning how this shield works in relation to Seal of Martyr/Seal of Blood. It will not be triggered by any damage caused by Seal/Judgement of Martyr/Blood, however, if the shield is proc'd by some other form of damage, it will absorb any damage done by SoB/M. Also, because the new Glyph of Seal of Martyr/Seal of Blood actually works similarly to a warrior's rage generation mechanic, instead of a mana gained on heal, like Spiritual Attunement, using Sacred Shield won't stop the mana gain from the glyph, even though it stops the actual damage.
wow, thnx for this :D so guess i'm at around 1.8k - 1.9k dmg absorb
