Dailies... lots of them, try just making 100g a day from them, then just try and not buy stuff, like day 1, 100g, you spent 20g, make another 20g before that day is over.
Day 2, 200g, you spent 30g, make sure you get another 30g before day 2 is over.
Rinse and repeat, don't but at AH unless you have no choice.
Takes alot of time, trust me, 2 months of 100g, and then spent it all on epic mount and cold training.

Money is not an issue as far as I can tell. I just rerolled a DK on a new server, level 71 and have like 1500 Gold, and thats ONLY with skinning. I did take a day to train upp my skinning to be able to use the skill along the way.
Also, buy your first flying mounts in Shadowmoon Valley... 100 G for regular and 200G for epic

I do 25 dailies a day (half for Outlands rep) and have mining. Also, play the AH and you'll see a swift increase.

Max out your professions and do dailies. The JC daily nets me 100g for 5 minutes of work - if I sell the Dragon's eye on the AH. The Troll Patrol daily returns 40g in roughly 12 minutes of effort (with a flying mount). My fave daily is King of the Mountain in Ice Crown = 13g in less than 1 minute. You can also make very good gold from the Argent Tournament.

Professions is the best way to raise gold, and lots of it. if you have 2 crafting professions, your probably spending more gold than earning (from leveling at least). Otherwise, farm eternals, and do quests.
Best decision i made was a bank alt. mail all your gold to a designated toon so you stop spending it on stupid things. Also good to mail your drops you might normally vendor to free up bag space to this toon. keep this toon in a major city with an AH, and always auction your drops (non-grays). Always. i cant stress that enough, always. anytime you vendor a non-gray you are losing gold.
playing the AH can be tricky and dangerous for those unaccustomed to its nuances. what i like to do sometimes is prospect ore when its very very cheap, and sell the gems when they are most expensive at a later date. usually gives me a 50% return minimum and is easy to do, but only worthwhile when you have 2k gold+
