Dual spec redux

I have an 80 Mage, leveled him the "easy way" .. that is, as Frost. Yes, heirloom gear already being acquired. Mace and Shoulders delivered, trinkets on the way.
So I'm choosing the harder route for my shaman: Elemental. Both, for the challenge, and the fact that he'll raid Elemental when I get him there.
Edit: nice sticky on leveling an Ele shaman, btw.
Once he hits 40 (level 35 now), I will be dual speccing him, with resto as the off-spec. I'm on a low population server, with few guildies having mains/alts at that level. Pugging is nearly impossible if you don't tank or heal. Just not enough groups going.
So, to the point. What does a resto build look like at level 40? 50? 60? Glyphs?
Thanks

Elemental isn't a challenge, per se. It puts out equal (if not better) damage than enhancement. You're just sitting there drinking all the time until you get to northrend levels where you barely drink at all.
For resto, you're going to just stay in the resto tree until 60 when you get riptide. Minor glyphs don't matter too much. I use walk on water, renewed life, and water shield. Majors, I like Mana Tide, Water Mastery, and Chain Heal. Chain heal is less needed in 5-mans. For the lower levels, you might want glyph of Healing Wave so you can heal yourself.
This is the build at 41 (just to show you should get Cleanse Spirit)

@GenXCub, that's exactly what I was looking for. What talents do I skip early (racing towards what?), but backfill later. That answers my questions. Thank you.
@LazyD, you're correct, until the last talent refund, I was running a goofy tri-spec, with only 5/5 Imp Healing Wave and another 3 points somewhere in Resto Tier 2 (don't even remember).
And with just that, healing 5mans at that level was absurdly easy. Realistically, I don't expect that to change any time before level 60. However, I kept running into people who wouldn't have me as healer unless was fully resto spec'd .. annoying, but there you are. Really, at level 25, exactly how important are those 16 points *eye roll*
So, given that I have the gold to spare. I'm on a low pop server, where not getting rejected for dumb reasons becomes a bit more important. I'm going to go ahead and dual spec, simply to make sure I don't miss out.
Thanks for the responses guys.

I'd seriously go with enhancement until outland....as there are very little gearing options for elemental shaman in nilla wow.

If you have heirloom gear then most of your gearing is taken care of. The rest is just filling out slots with intellect/stam to reduce downtime.
I have leveled a shaman both ways, and they both have their own pros and cons.
Elemental dps is mostly tied to spell rank until around the end of vanilla due to the lack of sp mail and the low benefit sp has for low-level spells. Strong dps to start with, but starts to fade away at about the mid-20s until you get Lightning Mastery. Drinking is often as your crit is generally low until you have the talent points to get into the enhance tree.
Enhance dps is tied almost exclusively to your weapons. If you don't have good weapons, you don't do good dps - regardless of your gear. Once you get dual-wield you also run into the odd problem that there's no enhance-specific heirloom weapons. Starts slow, but once you get into your 30s you take off as talented stamina and parry reduce down time. Fights are point-and-click until Stormstrike. Despite what some may say, enhance downtime is not considerably lower than elemental's unless you specifically gimp your dps by not shocking or stack intellect once you can convert it to AP. Imp GW is in this tree, so would be my choice if I did it all again :)
To answer the question for talents, I would suggest the following path:
Convection 5/5
Elemental Warding 3/3
Concussion 2/5
Elemental Focus 1/1
Elemental Fury 4/5
Eye of the Storm 3/3
Elemental Fury 5/5
Concussion 3/5
Call of Thunder 1/1
Elemental Reach 2/2
Concussion 5/5
Elemental Precision 3/3
Lightning Mastery 5/5
Elemental Mastery 1/1
Storm, Earth & Fire 1/3
Elemental Oath 2/2
Lightning Overload 3/3
Totem of Wrath 1/1
Storm, Earth & Fire 3/3
Unrelenting Storm 2/3
Shamanism 5/5
Thunderstorm 1/1
