A little insight please.

Okay so I am currently using this spec
but I am only at 60 as of yet.
So looking at many builds I think my suspicions have been confirmed that I do not need rune tap as is shown in that build. Also I notice themany deep blood builds putting points in DRW and not UB. I take it that the general consensus is to not be using UB. I really dont know the difference in the potential dps difference, can anyone explain? How much am I loosing out on not taking DRW?
Also I see Mark of Blood is used in many builds. I had a discussion with someone on this very same thing and I was told it was mainly a pvp talent but I have to reiterate my point now that it is helpful on hard fights right? I mean it may not last long but whatever is damaging you/your tank etc also gives a slight heal so that is worthwhile right?
Also is BCB worth using? I know the proc can give extra damage and that is always good but I was thinking since I can't afford a spec for solo dps and raid dps right now I was thinking of putting points from BCB into maybe Vendetta to help heal me on tough pulls when I solo.
Thanks for insight on these questions
Copied my response to your from the other thread:
The UB vs DRW debate is still going strong, but it's ~a question of personal preference.
UB is better during non-mobile (preferably multi target) situations, its value is diminished when you're not within constant range of your target however.
DRW provides better burst, and can be timed during CD's etc, if you use it at the wrong time however, you've spent the CD for nothing.
The way I see it, Vamp blood > Rune tap as a panic move
and Mark of blood is more PvE friendly than Rune tap, say you use it on Kologarn's right arm during a crush, or perhaps at the Deconstructor's tantrum.
Also the ideal look of a deep Blood spec's UH side is maxed out Necrosis, BCB and rav dead. taking one point from Epidemic (but due to the low probability that you'd be able to do a flawless rotation without being hit and expertise capped, 2/2 epidemic should be maintained).
Finally my white damage is ~30%+ of my total dps sometimes (last time I checked x_x) that makes Necrosis better than Rav dead and since Necrosis is already better than BcB (assuming constant ToT) I'd always make sure to max it out.
In my eyes, 1% str is woth less than 1 point in either Necrosis and BcB, so undless your gear makes you able to have 1/2 epidemic, I'd sacrifice one point in Rav. dead for Necrosis/BcB
Edit: Vendetta is an extremely poor talent undless your self healing is awful (which it shouldn't be since you're blood) and highly situational (it also does squat in a raid situation :>)
Your post cleared up some thins I was thinking myself. It is just hard to know when I look at so many forums and churn through so many builds to finally pull one out and so ok lets do this one and see. Of course the reason I asked these questions in the first place was that I looked at another build that was extremely similar with a few differences that made better sense to me.
I think I will stick with UB too just because I think I prefer it but I will have to try DRW and see when I get the chance.
As far as rune tap goes I had suspected it was a bad skill (at least for this build that is) and should have gone with my gut on that. I have already been able to heal good enough that I can solo 64-65 elites on my own at 60 and I have only ever used rune tap once and of oall things it was after a fight because I didnt want to stop and bandage or eat.
Thank the wow gods I have only had to re spec once and it is still cheap :)
