a few things i'd like to ask:
1 str = 1 ap?
Does strenght lose it's functionality at some point?
(in other words, did i waste alot of money enchanting crusader to my 2x McGowans? :-p )
You might have found this out already, but nobody seems to have answered here yet. At the moment Shamans get:
+1AP per point of strength
+1AP per point of agility
+1AP per point of intellect once they have the Mental Dexterity talent (low 30s).
Agility also ads to armor and melee critical strike. Intellect adds to mana, mana regen, and spell critical strike. Strength....adds to block value if you are using a shield. So there is nothing wrong with strength, it still helps damage....it is just that it doesn't help you as much as agility or even intellect do.
===================================
I'm also leveling my shaman, mostly following this guide. I've made some slightly different talent choices, in part because I forget what is in here and in part because I'm just curious about some of them. Will probably re-spec soon to tighten things up a bit.

I disagree on several things like the spec, and rotation at some points, but that is only because my personal preference is to fight completely without any totems out unless I'm soloing elites. I do prefer AP above all else followed by agility then stamina; never needed mp5 on my gear either. I also got a 2h as soon as possible and started swinging it and shocking with water shield constantly up until i got improved stormstrike then lightning shield forevermore.
My rotation as 80: flame shock (to pull) - stormstrike - lava lash - earth shock - chain lightning (if maelstrom is maxed)
If the thing isn't dead after this, I would be deeply saddened and then stormstrike again, but most of the time the thing is dead after earth shock or if WF procced at all during the first few swings, it would only take is a single stormstrike.
That's pretty much all I got for my playing style.
This message was brought to you by an enhance shammy for life with only deadly and kicks T10 geared player's butts!

@OP- I'm leveling my shaman from 70-80 with a similar build, the only things I changed were the glyphs (favoring glyph of water shield over water walking and Lava Lash over Storm Strike {which I might just change}) and it's working pretty good! I'm able to solo elites (just as long as I can burn them fast enough with all my CD's popped), and things die pretty fast and I never have to eat/drink. I also opted not to get the heirloom weapons since I'm also feeding my other alts with their heirloom goodies.

If you've got the cloth ones, you might want to try the elem guide. I was going to follow the elem guide and level as elem, but the downtime kind of bugged me... I don't like having to sit and drink :P

Glyphs: at level 68 the fire elemental totem might be nice. Its a very strong totem. The lighting shield glyph is not that good. Think the glyph of flameshock or windfury might profit more while leveling.
Piggybacking on this, the Lightning Shield glyph isn't great unless you have T7 or obscene haste. The stormstrike, and windfury are much, much better. Remember that while leveling windfury will usually be our 2nd largest dmg source and a good chunk at that. Plus, if you find yourself using water shield at any point then the LS glyph is doing nothing.
Props on the guide, enhancement seems to be a spec that a lot of people have some difficulty understanding all of its nuances.

Regarding WF/WF versus WF/FT, I suspect the correct answer may depend on what you are doing.
If you are mostly in dungeons, I'm willing to believe the theory-crafters are correct that WF/WF is the way to go.
However, when you are out questing, odds are good you are not playing like a 'pure' enhance shaman. If you lead off with a couple of lightning bolts and maybe even fit in a shock, all before starting melee, then the melee portion of the battle will probably not be all that long, really changing the balance of how much damage is coming from your spells versus how much is coming off melee strikes that could proc windfury. At which point I suspect WF/FT ends up being better.
(Maybe it is just me that does this? But I figure either I can run to them to start melee, and do no damage during that travel time, or I can lead off with lightning, let them run to me, and and be doing damage during that travel time. Hence faster kills, hence faster questing.)
As to the assertion that glyph of Stoneclaw totem isn't needed anymore....I don't know, I still use it on the lower level of the enhance shamans that I’m leveling. Unless you are vigilant at keeping your equipment up to your level through the AH (or else have heirlooms, if you are fortunate enough to have that option), ‘questing greens’ will not make you all that invulnerable. I use this quite a bit to speed up questing, because the mana cost of stoneclaw totem is sometimes lower than the mana cost of the heals I’d otherwise need (particularly when dealing with above levels mobs, creatures with fire immunity, or places where large draws are just going to happen). At higher levels perhaps you’d get more net speed out of another glyph, but for at least 15 through 30 I’d be surprised. (note: less mana = questing speed, by avoiding having to drink).
