Improved poisons tips the scales in instant poison's favor, not vile poisons. Vile poisons increases the damage of both of them.
Envenom is only optimal for mutilate considering it removed a stack of deadly and the buff it gives doesn't affect wound poison.
Oh, btw, improved eviscerate boosts eviscerate by 20%, not 15%.

If you're after an assesment of it I generally hit around 4.5/5K (missing some raids buffs in our runs atm :( meh) with this spec and gear in sig.
It's likely the new cookie cutter for most rogues till the 4 piece tier 8.

No, not of that build. I know that's a great build. AlphaQ said he was going to test Backstab with BiS gear a few days ago, but he hasn't posted back about it yet.

As a note tho: Combat Daggers FAILS! Certainly for PVE, for PVP (certainly battleground) with shadowstep etc it's actually a bit of a winner.

1/ Instant IS doing considerably more damage than wound on MH with 3/3 Vile poisons (18/51/2). I will test this again in 25 man when I have 2 pally buffs just to make sure that it isn't buffs that is impacting the results.
I just tested this for a couple of minutes on the target dummy. I stopped hitting at the same amount of damage for both poison tries. Wound was doing 15.4% of the damage, instant was doing 13% of the damage. That was with 3/3 vile poisons.
with 5/5 improved poisons, I'm sure instant is better than wound, but without it, it's not (for MH).

Wound has almost double PPM value than instant. It deals more dps unless you bump up instant's PPM via improved poisons.
