Valor Emblem Rewards....Suck?

From what i can tell the Valor pally rewards are entirely brutal for their iLVL. I'm stacked with mostly 200 iLVL gear and yet i look at what i can turn the emblems in for, and am entirely discouraged.

Lets compare:
200 iLVL

You gain a minimal amount of Sp and Mp5 but lose a large amount of Crit and either Haste or Int depending on which ring you replace....clearly the Valor ring is a large downgrade

Now for the boots:

This is far less cut and dry, you lose 50 crit but gain 20SP,16 stam, 49 Haste, 20 MP5...certainly bigger stats, but you lose more mp5 from the crit than you gain, and gemmed properly you gain no Int either. I would take these for the extra Stam and Haste which my character needs, but would consider these more of a sidegrade than an upgrade.

Trading 36 Crit for 41 haste would be a downgrade, add in the +4 Int and + 9 SP gains and you have yourself a sidegrade. Note also they are both BOE epics, the first selling for 500g, the other for 2k

Then consider for that same 2k you can get http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40741 which has 3 less haste but 5 more Int, which is more valuable.

All in all....it seems like besides T7.5 Valor rewards for pallies are terribly itemized.

Its true they aren't the best itemized things in game but meh, tell me the last boss fight that you ran out of mana on as a paladin healer and then you can cry that there isn't alot of upgrades. You play the most mana conservative class in the game and basicly once you hit full ilvl 200 gear you can ignore that blue bar for anything but the toughest of boss fights.

Perhaps if we couldn't heal forever or 2 man 2 of the drakes in obs (mind you the trash before them would kick the *!@# out of you if you tried it) then there would be a need to complain. Just use them on an off spec i can say for one that the tank ring from the badges is quite nice, otherwise save for tier tokens.

What I really really miss is the haste proc on Holy shock. I didn't realize how often I was getting very fast holy lights until they replaced it with the crit chance proc.

I agree with you big time there. Only difference is I knew IoL HLs were awesome at the time, and was really disappointed when I heard about the upcoming change.

imo just buy the bracers anyhow and sell em for 2k :D

there are better things to buy with the badges to sell, but yeah, selling your badges is definitely an option.
