Glyph of shadowflame pvp macro
Return to board index

I just recently started PvP'ing, but I just haven't found Shadowflame that useful... of course I could be a nub lock as far as PvP is concerned.
They have to be directly in front of you by like 5yds for it to hit. What I have been trying is going in, shadowflame, teleport back and DoT and spam searing pain... but for some reason shadowflame keeps missing and they don't appear to be moving 70% slower lol... and of course its on a 15 sec cd so you can't just pop it again right away incase they trinket or you missed.
I've noticed the same thing in Arena's recently (although I've only done around 50 matches). My Shadowflame seems to miss a lot (which might be the result of slight lag, etc. because on my screen, it does hit).
Regardless, I'm always using CoE anyway on melee classes so I may as well just replace the Shadowflame glyph now...
Shadowflame is like Cone of Cold; it takes some practice to get used to. Unlike most attacks where you can side-cast, your target must actually be directly in front of you for Shadowflame to hit them...
Where < = Shadowflame Cone. I find that when turning to face an opponent (even when mouse turning) it is really easy to over or undershoot them... It just takes a bit of getting used to.
As far as macros go, no. Macros cannot make your character move (aside from /follow).
