Daggers will only work with mutilate. Combat daggers and backstab builds are terrible right now.

only way i see BS working out would be to increase the amount of c combos it does or move the high end Sub talent into shallow waters

Actually, nm. I'm done with explaining BS to people after this. If people want to just say "It's terrible" without even learning enough about it, I'm going to let them. I'll just be happily backstabbing my way through raids.

I am putting about 6.2k DPS on Ignis (closest tank & spank fight in Ulduar to Patch) as combat fist/dagger. What is your parse with a backstab build in 25 man?

I'm fairly certain you will get no where near that. I can respec and try your build with SR/GSS or Daschal's/GSS. I am willing to bet money I will not even break 5k DPS with optimal rotations.

Actually, can you? (Dschal's/GSS) that is. And give it an honest try? Because in the 3.1g spreadsheet I was using, BS really wasn't 10% lower dps like Kid is saying, it was more like 1% lower than Mutilate at most, and 2-3% lower than Fist/Dagger. But it has an easier rotation.

Use Backstab, Rupture, and Killing Spree glyphs. Keep SnD up at all times, and Rupture as close to 5cp as possible. Wound Wound.

Use Killing spree right after a Backstab (when you're low on energy). Adrenaline rush with whatever AP boosting trinkets together (dont do Killing spree when you're using Adrenaline Rush).

It would really help to see a geared rogue using the build in a real raid, and actually trying with it.

EDIT: And really, KidB. Can you stop that? I've never been saying that BS is a BETTER build than Mutilate or Combat F/D or Swords. It's just a different type of build to use that still does well.

Nobody offering up a HAT spec? Granted, the damage does fluctuate with the group makeup, but it's at least a viable alternative, and somewhat fun to play.
