"Tee hee, okay then! It's only fair I say about myself." Said Jaimie, blushing.
"Go on..." Encouraged Nathadan, in a monotone voice.
"Well, I was born in Brill, and my mother was a soldier for the Lordaeron Army. My father was...I don't remember much about him, but I think he was a miner. Hardly glamourous job but someone has to do it!" She said, sighing.
"Well?" Asked Finkle.
"Well, my dad was sent to work in Stratholme, so I hardly ever seen him. Then, the orcs came." Said Jaimie.
"And...the call to arms was sounded, and my father, along with my mother, were sent to fight the Horde at Southshore. My dad died there, and is buried in Southshore too. My mother helped push back the Horde, and we enjoyed some time together. When I was around 10, I realised, I was not a warrior like my mother, or like my father. But, some boy called me ugly in school and I was so annoyed with him! And, before I knew it,
his hair was on fire! My mother sent me to Dalaran, as she had been handpicked by the king to go with Alleria Windrunner's expedition through the Dark Portal, and I do not know what has happened to her..." She said, almost in tears.
"What a shame..." Said Finkle sympathetically.
"Yes, and Lanzadar was my Teacher and role model, closest thing to a parent I had after my mother went to Outland. Then, you know the story from there..." She sobbed.
A seemingly unaware dwarf decided to cop a feel, which angered Jaimie. She
froze the dwarf in place which drew the attention of an old hooded woman, who seemed to walk gracefully and powerfully, despite her age.
"You will come with me, young mage." She said.
"Erm...where?" Asked Jaimie, concerned.
"It's okay, I won't hurt you. You may call me...Magna. Bring your friends, and your belongings." Said the old woman, walking towards the door of the inn.
((OOC - Though I might try to integrate a major lore character, and I came up with the idea of
Aegwynn.
Post by Patty
((OOC- Actually, I think Aegwynn doesn't do lots of magic. In the book Cycle of Hatred, she nearly died just giving Jania a little extra energy. She needs decades of lots of spells. It took ten years of waiting for her to be able to scry Khadgar kill Medivh.))
((OOC - That is because Medivh stole most her magic powers and banished her, so he didn't have to kill her.
She almost died helping Jaina because she used her own life force to save Jaina, as it was all the magic she had left after she made her home in Mulgore almost unseeable to travellers.
Also death, we need another baddie most I think. :D))

Location: Theramore Isle.
The three adventurers walked behind the old woman.
"Here." Said Magna, opening a door.
"What is this?" Asked Jaimie.
"Well, here is where Jaina Proudmoore herself trains. Seems like you could do with some help." Replied the old woman.
"So, where is Miss Proudmoore?" Asked Finkle.
"She is on a diplomatic mission to Northrend, you know, to try and aleviate the tensions between the Horde and the Alliance.
"Right..." Commented Nathadan.
"Anyway, why am I helping you? You may be wondering. Well, you obviously have potential young mage, about time you harnessed the true power of magic." Said Magna.
"Right, how do I do that?" Asked Jaimie, excitably.
"That is what she is going to try and teach you..." Muttered Finkle.
"The gnome is right. Now, if you two would like to get some rest, or something to drink, there are plenty of comfortable beds, and hot water for a bath." She addressed the other two.
"Good luck." Said Nathadan to Jaimie, before walking out with Finkle.
The large door shut.
"Right, what can you do?" Asked Magna.
"Well, I can scorch, frostbolt, polymorph, frost nova and conjure food and water." Said Jaimie, slightly embarrassed.
"Impressive." Commented Magna. "Now, I want you to try and boost your own
intelligence." She said.
"How?" Asked Jaimie.
"Simple, think of how the Dalaran mages have enlightened you."
"Okay." She said. "Oh my god! It worked!" She said, clearly excited.
"Right, very good. Now, try to warm yourself up a bit." She said to Jaimie.
"Hmm, Okay!" She warmed herself up, and felt
safer, and warmer."Very well.
Can you cast upon ice shards?" Asked Magna.
"What, like this?" Asked Jaimie, who begun
channeling a spell and saw shards of ice falling from the sky."Yes, well done!" Exclaimed the elderly woman.
"Thanks so much Magna!" Said Jaimie.
"Now, this is your final test. Assault this dummy with
arcane energy." Said Magna.
"But, I can't!" Replied the young apprentice.
"Have faith in yourself, just pelt the magic. It will happen." Said Magna reassuringly.
Jaimie tried numerous times, and failed.
"Oh, this is helpless!" Exclaimed Jaimie, clearly disappointed in herself.
"Believe in yourself, it will come naturally." Responded the old woman.
They tried, again and again. Each time some arcane energy did come from Jaimie, it disappeared before hitting the dummy. It seemed like hours that they had been trying for. Finally, Jaimie did it.
"I told you. Well done, young mage." Remarked Magna.
"Thank you so, so much!" Said Jaimie, who hugged her.
"Whoa, be careful. i am not as young as I used to be, you know." She said.
"Oh...but thanks so much anyway!" Replied Jaimie.
"You had better get some rest, but before you do, I may not see you tomorrow. So, take these." Magna grabbed several books from a drawer and gave them to Jaimie. "Kepp practicing. And, if I don't see you tomorrow, good luck with your adventures." Said the old woman, walking away.
"Good Night Magna!" Exclaimed Jaimie.
"And the same to you." She responded.
((OOC - Pretty long, thought Finkle and Nathadan could get up to something while I was gone and tell meh about it afterwards, then let it be morning and get on again. :D))
