If you hop over to the paladin forums there are a couple of threads about protadin pvp, sadly not many people choose to pvp as prot, its very hard to be as effective in terms of damage as a retridin. The stun aspect is definately the funnest part, irritates the hell outta people, but you will have massive issues trying to take out healers, unless you get lucky stuns and time ASilence + HoJ very well they are extremely hard to kill.
Mana problems are less of an issue with the new DP but they are definately still an issue... and what Kenyon9996 said about any ranged killing you with ease is plain wrong. Protadin is the
anti-hunter. AS to catch em, JoJ to keep em in range, stun away and have insane mitgation of both them and their pets damage. You have inbuilt resistance (through aura's) against most caster classes, and with a silence effect built into AS now its not as one sided as people make it out to be.
The main issue is gearing, there isnt a prot set as such to pvp with. People who do pvp as prot tend to side with the ret pvp gear, stacking BV is nice for ShotR and you can see some huge numbers, upwards of 10K on crits but generally speaking you need a good mix of str and BV.
The snag with em is they are very hard to play in a pve spec as you miss out so many of the really good pvp talents.

The difference in glyph's makes a marked difference.
