Imp SForm > Imp VE any day. The extra healing from VE is negligible and can easily be done without; having pushback immunity (with Conc Aura) or at least reduced pushback will greatly help with your DPS in AoE or random-unavoidable-damage heavy fights, of which there seem to be lots in Ulduar.
Rest of the build looks fine to me; standard PvE Shadow.

I'll provide more healing for the party/raid with imp VE but getting knocked out of a mindflay from a AOE is annoying.
It's sometimes hard to read it (took me sometime before I saw it too), but Improved Vampiric Embrace only increases the VE healing on yourself, not on anyone else.

I never wondered this before. What if
Priest A has Imp VE
Priest B casts VE
Does Priest A then also get the increased healing?
It probably won't stack with Priest A VE healing anyways or enable any kind of exploit (just laziness), but just being curious now.

I think you should drop shadow reach, as it is useless. For imp VE its very good, e. g. you get in slag spot (ignis), your dots still tick increasing chances you will survive. AoE thingy from deconstuctor; with imp VE I don't need much healing. I can name and name fights it's useful...

If you're going to trade anything for Imp VE, I'd look to Imp Spirit tap as it gives you the least benefit of your other talents.

Not true at all. Imp VE is nice to have, but it's far from a priority, and standard VE is generally sufficient for the scenarios you listed. Imp SForm is far more important; Shadow Reach is even more important than that. Shorter range on everything means you'll lose DPS and have to spend more time getting into/keeping in range while fighting.

Darn it :< Good I'm not shadow. It really sounds weird. Healing Received really sounds like personal.

Which is why I used operative words like "if, anything, least".
Still one has to wonder if it's worth it.
Imp Spirit Tap grants me: 1000 spirit (raid buffed) * 10% (from Imp Spi Tap) = 100 spirit with an uptime of maybe a 30% at best (I'd have to check wws).
So assuming Shadow glyph, those two talent points grant me 20 additional spellpower 30% of the time, effectively 6 spellpower 100% of the time, which is 3 spell power per talent point.
It's still more personal dps then Imp VE, but I doubt if it'd even register as a discernible dps loss. Maybe 5 more dps in patchwerk style fight?
