The
Titan Panel
UI addon has gold monitoring built into it. It's rather basic (it just keeps track of how much gold you have compared to when you logged in), but it's useful. It's not turned on by default, though. You need to right click on the bar (usually at the bottom, as I recall) to activate it. Also... by default this tracker displays the total gold held by all your toons on that server (of the same faction, I believe). This can be configured to display only the gold the current toon has.
Use of the addon
Auctioneer
can give you an idea of what the items in your inventory are worth by just hovering your mouse over it. To get that finctionality, though, it's best to scan the AH at least weekly for a month. The scans can take half an hour or more (depending on your computer and your connection)

It does a simple subtraction: How much gold you have right now, minus how much gold you had when you logged on. If all you've done during the session is farming, then everything you've earned is "farming income." I did say Titan's gold tracking is basic.
If you use Auctioneer's Post or Appraiser tabs when putting things up for auction, Auctioneer's Bean Counter can give you an idea of how much you've earned from that.
