Hey..
I have been healing with my druid for a couple of years, and recently rerolled a shammy for variation, new buttons to mash so to say. My plan is to shammy heal on some nights and druid heal on others depending on which other healers join the raids.
When my druid dinged 80 I put him in a crafted set of leather gear, Earthgiving and Overcast, and he was ready to do heroics. By now it has all been upgraded and replaced by boss drops, but it was a nice starter set to build on.
My shammy dinged 80 a couple of days ago, and again I've been looking at a craftable starter set. Revenant and Stormhide seems a decent option with a nice amount or spellpower and mp5, but I can't help noticing the lack of crit.
Is Revenant and Stormhide a good place to start or should I look for something else?

I was using a lot of AH BoE blues, like the
Epaulets of Market Row
,
Sash of the Hardened Watcher
(Stormhide beats this), etc. It's okay as a starter to do Heroics. Don't worry about crit. It's a mana regen tool more than a heals per second tool at the stage of the game you're in, and you get 14% from talents. If you focus on the mp5 and don't go oom, you'll be okay.
Shamans heal H Nexus quite well. Get that mace from Keristrasza. If your guild has a naxx10 farm group, see if they'll let you in, especially if they're just sharding most of the drops.
