as far as pvp goes, bm is still the worst of the 3 specs for arena. after patch 3.1, sv and marks are about on the same level, depending on your group makeup and play style.
Reasons why bm is not good for arena:
1. to long to reset, for your team to reset its burst it takes a minute+ (compared to sv's 30 sec reset for burst provided by LNL)
2. Healer has to heal you and your pet plus himself.
3. it is way to easy to live through BW now, no matter the healer on the other team, they can most likely heal through it, and since it has such a long cd, they can blow trinkets at beginning to survive. and then kill you while u wait for it to be up again.
4. the burst dps compared to sv, is not much better, i believe after the 3.1 they made it alot closer, nerfing sv, and buffing bm.
now as for you doing better going bm, thats cuz you are playing a 2 dps team. which hunters willl never get 2k+ rating playing a 2 dps team, lucky to get past 1800. sv pvp is made for a hunter and a healer, sv hunter and a dps sv will usually fail. well hunter on a 2 dps team will usually fail lol.
so if you want to casually pvp, by all means play what you like and what you have the most fun as.
but if you want to hit a high rating and get those cool titles, sv or mm is the way to go. imo sv is still best for arena.
as for bm in pve, it is the worst of the 3. if you want people to hop of the "sv bandwagon" then have them go mm, not bm, mm is at least coming close to sv if you are doing it right.
but as for now bm is still no where near mm or sv in raids, and wont be til it gets buffed.
