If you want to solo easy mode roll hunter. My main is rogue and it takes attention to play well. Ironically hunters give me my only problems lol...

I say go for Rogue if you want a challenge and want to rely on skill to get you to 80. I also say go Hunter if you want easymode all the way to 80.

Between the two that you've mentioned, I agree with the rest: Rogue requires more "thought" than a hunter does.
(I love my hunter toons, but I'll quickly admit they don't take much effort)

Go Hunter, a lot of people do not give them real credibility. Plus its not that easy with all those morons out there assuming your an idiot. And if you pick a good spec and are good at it then you should be doing good DPS.

There's also the + for hunters that the melee dps population is insane right now on many realms, might not matter in the long run but these days hunters are welcomed..because they'll be one of the few in a raid that isnt staring the boss in the booty-close up style.
