Probably because trout don't remember crap well.
I'm pretty sure you'd be right if they had a half decent memory though.

That's the intelligence and instinct not to swim up stream, not emotions..............
They also do it in order to breed, as you've said before, all animals know how to do is eat, breed, kill, etc. Or that its their instinct just to do all those things...
You're contradicting yourself.
Also, you basically just said your emotions control your actions.
If I'm embarrassed to go to a party because someone I have a crush on is there, doesn't mean I just won't go.
