For the cloak: 23 haste or 10spirit and %2 threat reduction
I'm having some problems with threat now and the %2 reduction would be nice and essentially the 10spirit is about 4sp. So which would you go for? I'm leaning towards
Enchant Cloak: Wisdom
instead of
Enchant Cloak: Greater Speed
.
I have 15 haste on the cloak now but im updating the enchant and not sure of what to upgrade to.

Are you serious?
If you're having threat problems with current content as FG/Ember then you need a new tank!

If you're truly threat-capped then any threat reduction from talents, gear, enchants, whatever should be considered as that's the only way you're going to increase your DPS without drawing aggro.
In that case threat reduction > everything else.
But there is no way you should be in that position at the moment.
You need to gear up, skill up or replace your tank to allow you to max your DPS.
Edit: Also, dump crit in favour of SP or haste. More consistent DPS = easier to manage threat. With less chance of drawing aggro with "lucky" chain-crits you can push closer to the 130% threat barrier.

change your +spell power & +stamina gems to +spell power & +spirit
They are worth about the same so I went with the 12 stam.
Maxdps.com
rates them both being worth 6.27dps.
So Haste it is. I don't have trouble with aggro with my guild in raids but pugs are a different story. Guess I should get better pugs eh? lol
Thanks everyone.

maxdps isn't very good.
stam is never worth gemming for in pve.
SP+spirit is better. it's a ridiculously small difference but it is a difference.

Why do you think most top end warlocks don't even get the +10 stats to chest? Because the +15 spirit is min/maxing to the max! :)
Please explain. That just doesn't make sense to me.
Also, how much dps is 1sp?
And just throwing it out there for discussion.
Stam scales to the FG, more stam, more hp from King's, more sp from higher stam\int on FG. Would the 24 stam from the 2 gems be more of a sp boost or is the gain so minimum it shouldn't be considered. This would also apply to the stam\int gain from stats to chest.

think of the relative worths of each stat something along these lines (for demonology):
crit_rating=0.78
haste_rating=1.05
hit_rating=1.58
intellect=0.46
spell_power=1.00
spirit=0.52
stamina=0.19
yes, stam does have an impact on your SP via demonic knowledge but it is infinitesimal and never worth gearing for.
regarding what jeremiahfira said regarding the chest enchant, i disagree that it is better even for specs without DK but demonology locks definitely would want the +stats one because, if we accept that +spirit does give more straight dps then +stats, then the difference is so very small before taking DK into account anyway.

I'll regem and enchant my cloak tonight.
@ asakawa's numbers. I take it the Hit Rating value is only up to the cap?
Would like another opinion on bracers. I have all 3.

Just got enough emblems last night for the Wraps of the Astral Traveler.
Is the 50 crit on the Azure Cloth binding worth giving up for the bonus of either other item?
If we give the weighted scale of crit to sp then the other stats from Astral Traveler or 50 crit. So point for point:
Crit: 39
or
Int: 4.14
Sp: 22.7
Sta: 2.28
Total: 29.4
(This does not include the hit rating as im right at the cap, with hit, it's weight is 73.64)
That would mean the 50 crit is > then the 22.7sp? or am i doing this wrong?
New to the math part of locks so im probably WAY off.

hit is worth absolutely nothing if you're over capped yes.
of those three astral traveller are clearly the best item but if you don't need hit then phantom bindings is best.
however, a 'best' item with hit on allows you to juggle where you get your hit from.
for example using the +hit bracer will allow you to drop the hat which, while i recognise is very good at early gear levels, is very underpowered at your gear level.
also you want to be able to cap your hit when you don't have a moonkin/Spriest around due to the nature of your raiding (which is exactly the right thing to do) but the difference between capped with and without that debuff is almost exactly the same as your trinket so if you find yourself in a raid with one of those specs you can safely swap the trinket for a SP one.

Yeah that hood sucks but i CANNOT get a better hood. Ive tried and tried but it always goes to someone else. I have ^&*! luck with trinkets and hoods.
Ill probably keep them both in my bag incase the situation comes up where ill need the extra hit but think i can finally DE those Azure bracers.
Thanks to everyone again.

I ruined an immortal run last night by crossing paths with Heigan after a dance. Heres me sitting at 111% of tank aggro, dancing away, and as he heads towards the tank after leaving the platform, he runs past me. Oh look! squishy lock just appeared on my threat radar! He switched to me and *!@#$ slapped my ass. As you'd imagine, I was neither popular, nor happy :S
Woulda liked the -2% threat :(

OK, gems were changed, cloak enchanted. Got another question.
crit_rating=0.78
haste_rating=1.05
So Spellstone > Firestone?

yes
Anything to back up your statement? Don't seem to trust blatant statements without some kind of explanation.
