My step-brother yells across the house to restart the modem. I've been having zero connectivity issues, and he can load every domain but one fine: his college housing server, at the opening of his timetable to do something or other.
He wonders both why I say it's not our internet connection and why I hate it when he tells me how to fix problems (that aren't actually there).

Restarted the modem, flushed his DNS cache, released/renewed his ipconfig, and released my network connections while he tried again. Nope, it's still down.
I think it's their server and he doesn't believe me.

I've had similar situations. Does he use wireless? Because if so, then you may wanna restart it anyways, as wireless has a tendency to $%^& up packet transfers while the direct wired connection works fine.

Just humor him. I've had worse problems (couldn't access anything) and I had to manually reset the router while my brother was Facebooking with the router 2 feet away.

I did. Restarted the modem, ipconfig /release, /renew, /flushdns on his computer, and /release on mine to prove that mine wasn't interfering with his connection. It still didn't work while every other site worked for him and me.

heh, its one of the joys of beta, getting to enjoy completely absurd OP specs while they last.
Have u seen monk tanks? good lord, 80K AOE CRITS with fire breath, 170K SINGLETARGET CRITS WITH BLACKOUT KICK.
Its obviously gonna be tweaked as the expac moves on (numbers are usually the last thing to be tuned, they first need to tweak mechanics, internal CDs, proc rates, ect) but its a true joy while it lasts.
