BC: Hellfire, and Nagrand
LK: Dragonblight no doubt

Classic: STV. The quests. The tension. The enviroment. It all sums up with "<3"
BC: Netherstorm. Just loved this place. Don't know why. It competes with Nagrand, though.
Wrath: Scholazar OR Fjord, I'm not sure. I really liked the enviroments in Fjord, but the quests in Sholzar were nice.

In wotlk i like sholazar basin the most and grizzly.
I dont like
Classic: westfall, to much running.
TBC: Blades edge, weird to move around there.

My favorites:
Classic: Azshara, hands down. It's a pain to travel, no doubt, but it is one of the most visually arresting zones in Azeroth. Shame more wasn't done with it.
BC: Nagrand, same reasons as the OP.
WotLK: Storm Peaks. The Titan architecture is amazing, the two instances have absolutely gorgeous artwork, and the amount of lore found out here is just absurdly fun.
My LEAST favorites:
Classic: STV. My reasons are 3-fold: 1) The ridiculous amount of ganking, 2) The ridiculous distances you had to travel (I played it pre-lv30 mounts), and 3) The stupid amount of TIME you spent here, becasue of both 1 and 2, not to mention the vast level range that you'd quest here.
BC: Everything other than Nagrand. I really hated the Outlands, and almost stopped playing several times because of it.
WotLK: #@%$ing Wintergrasp. Not because of the zone itself or PvP, but because of the PLACEMENT. You can't just straight-line a path, noooo, you get dismounted or spend an insane amount of time on a FP.

Favorite Zones:
-
Classic
- Burning Steppes: After flying over it some 10 dozen times before leveling to get high enough to level there, you start feeling a sense of accomplishment for being in a place you kept seeing as deadly.
- Stranglethorn Vale: Quite possibly the most epic zone in WoW (At least Classic WoW) Why? Because it's a huge zone, with tons of things to do and quite a lot of ambiance. It's a hotbed of PvP, contained a few things for PvEers, and holds a couple of recurring contests. STV Is just Epic.
= Honorable Mention: Scarlet Monestary: It's not a zone, but it's still a favorite of mine. Why? Because SM as a whole is similar to STV: Quite possibly one of the most epic (set of) instance(s).
= Most Hated: Silithus: I just... Hate it. I tried questing there. Felt it was bad, left, and never looked back. perhaps that's a reason why it took a while to get to 70 the first time?
-
The Burning Crusade
- Nagrand: Everyone's favorite TBC zone, and who can blame 'em? I kept stopping leveling to sneak to Halaa and bomb it... perhaps that's part of the problem i took so long.
- Shadowmoon Valley: The Final Zone. And such a place is epic enough to be fitting for Illidan's home.
= Honorable Mention: Bloodmyst Isle: The penultimate quest for the final questline (
Ending Their World
) is Draenei-only, but man is it awesome. If you can manage a draenei long enough to at least do this quest, do so, imo.
= Most Hated: Zangramarsh: Bloody Bog Striders.
-
Lich King
- Dalaran has been the only place i've been to really in the expansion so far. Can't really give a good say on this.

Original:
Western Plaguelands and Un'goro
Burning Crusade:
Zangarmarsh
WotLK:
Zul'Drak... I love the quest layout of the zone, and how you can get 5 quests at a time from the many camps of quest givers.
As far as looks go in WotLK though id have to say Sholazar wins :D
