Well that's the maximum level of killing another player at least through this game :D I mean come on, stop playing with words ... I think you do get the point. It's the simple picture like:
: Aww, what a nice day for a few quests...
: Oh lolz, what a nice day for *"PvP"*...
...
Moron's imba attack hit lowbie for 1337 damage.
Lowbie has died.
: Hmm...
(happens 5 times)
: Jesus..
Lowbie has gone offline.
: Lol! Vote me for teh prezident!
THAT is the kind of people I really, really, REALLY do not appreciate.
I agree. I refer you, too, to my post responding to Xaratherus
About the judgement of your character ... Well you can't say exactly what kind of people you meet just by seeing them play, although I must admit you can learn ALOT, especially if you're able to talk to them. One way or another, finding enjoyment in killing lowbies does pretty much meet the definition that you "enjoy $%^&ing off others," because that is exactly what you do. And if you don't even realize it makes it even worse.
One week ago, I was an introvert. Now I'm an extrovert. My life has completely turned around in the space of a week; everything for the extreme benefit of myself and all the people who know me, because I am a far more cheerful person and far more sociable. And, true, my playstyle has changed as a result. Yet, I've become pro-ganking (Within the limits I've tried to establish). So maybe one can learn a few things about a person from watching them play, but I wouldn't say "A lot"; at least, not enough to properly judge them. Not by any stretch. This is the Internet, after all.
I do not enjoy irritating others. However, why should that stop me attacking someone on a game? If they are irritated to the point where it's
SRS BZNZZ
for them, then the fault lies with them being too much into the game, not with me. Sure, it's impossible to not
inconvenience
someone by ganking them, but to cause downright anger?
The reason you presented - anger - is kinda acceptable, but as I said before, still a poor one imo. Seriously, there are better ways how to engage in a good PvP than this...
There are, you're right. But World PvP has an unpredictability that nothing else does. If you go into a BG, you know the objectives. If you go into Arenas, you know the cookie-cutter specs. World PvP, though? Will I get a rogue or a druid chasing me? One or two or ten?

You sir are in one of my lowest categories. That's exactly the kind of people I obviously can't understand. "I relax by by sending you back to gy..." Well depends on what kind of fight it is, but assuming you're reffering to the imbalanced type like high vs low lvl AND you actually enjoy it ... Wtf is there to enjoy? O_O You people make me sick - it's a pretty low idea of PvP and youre also supporting this by doing it, meaning that the guy you're ganking will probably do the same when he reaches your level in the spirit of vengeance...
Again, I agree. The problem is, there are many people who will voice such ridiculous things, and as a result they undermine the kind of argument that I'm currently trying to put forward.

so what if i play like this?
It's not so much what you're doing as the way in which you're doing it, and the very base and clichéd logic you're using to try and defend it. You're portraying it as something black-and-white. It's not. Nothing is.
(Sorry for the delayed response, Snipp. I'll get to you in a moment or two. Just sorting some things on Facebook)

I personally first try to settle the differences with the alt I'm playing. If it's not possible (or hell I admit it, if I'm just too tired or simply sick of it) to beat the guy, I will relog. But I personally cant find any better feeling than finding exactly that guy who did it and make him lick the ground for a good while. Then perhaps (if he doesn't relog/call friends/escape somehow) I let him live after few "lessons" (I really like to return everything + taxes) and emote him to get out of my back. This method seems to work fine usually and it's the way I like it.
This. However, and it was the reason why I came into this entire thing, I do take issue with this particular section of what you say:
(if he doesn't /call friends/)
If he
does
, then what do you do? I inferred, perhaps correctly, perhaps incorrectly, that if he called friends, you would denounce him and his guild as being beneath you in terms of whatever value you place on the situation -- I'll go with honour, because it's the word you used. I infer this because that's the general reaction, and it's one I've previously felt of a ganker: The aggressor is at fault for initiating; therefore, if he makes the fight larger-scale, he is just digging a deeper hole of his own dishonour.
If I infer this incorrectly, then stop reading, and just answer the initial question of: What would you do?
If I infer this correctly, though, I imagine you would just stop the PvP on your own terms and prevent his guild from having their chance at a kill. Instead, try to get your own guild involved. Try to get some world PvP going. You never know, you might enjoy it.
EDIT: Lol, captcha "sukdc"
Sooo, u ask a level 20 that u want a fight with a level 70 ? I don't get ur logic
.... Why the hell don't u gank at nagrand, where 64-68 are.. Little more chalenging, and 70 are closer, so even more helpful.. They don't want to run trough azeroth to help a guildies to finaly face a sthealty rogue who ill spend his fury on another lowbie.
A reasonable point (And if I were a rogue, I would concede the point completely).
Am I taking this game too seriously by asking 70s let lowbie enjoying their game experience? Well, its a game, like u said, and everyone should enjoy it, even lowbies.
A not-so-reasonable point. Yes, lowbies should enjoy it, but I think this is where I can safely evoke the mantra of: If you don't want to get ganked,
ever
, then level up on a PvE server first. If being ganked, even
once
, is going to completely ruin the entire game for someone, as this final quote implies, then they should be on a PvE server. If it's
not
, then the point is moot.

Yeh ... I really should stop refreshing :-D
Glad you did. You raised some good points, and I'm glad someone else posted their own views on it rather than just attacking mine. I can see where your point of contention comes from, and I think it's the same as it is for Kyrross. So, for what it's worth, if I ever go ganking I'll do it in Outland (Or in Northrend, when the Expansion comes); because, you're both right, I'm more likely to get the result that I seek.

So last night I'm on a server on which I rarely play. I have a "mid-40s" warrior there and lately I've been getting on him one evening a week to level him. My plan is to move him to my primary server so that if mages keep getting the short end of the stick in WotLK I can (perhaps) use him as a tank in Wraith. This server has been up since the release of classic. Other than power leveling alts there are almost no true lowbies on it. The hinterlands, where I was leveling, was pretty much empty of players. While he was in a guild at one point (he's been around since 2005) it disbanded long ago. I was riding over to turn in a quest and saw, quite a way off, a rogue of the opposite faction. Level 70 by the look of his gear. He steathed as he saw me. I approached the quest giver and as I turned it in, the rogue one shotted me and then killed the quest giver(s) and every other NPC in the place. Laughed and restealthed, clearly waiting for me to rez.
Hard to imagine that there was anything that he needed in the hinterlands. He wasn't escorting anyone. Nothing drops there that has much value to a 70. The most likely reason for his presence was to gank lowbies. Perhaps he was relaxing. As an unguilded, untwinked, lowbie it seems hard to imagine that he expected me to either bring out my main or call on my friends. In any event, I decided to do something else.
As for the comments from Valandilv . I can't decide if you are just an accomplished troll or someone so completely insular that you are unable to understand points raised in opposition to your view.

this is getting way out of proportion. in warcraft 3 do you not attack your enemy's base if he has only 5 grunts and you're a demon hunter with a full control?
this is a game about war, as a craft, you're playing on a PVP server, and your characters are just code and pixels. it doesn't hurt if it dies.
get over that and let the killing begin!
In Warcraft 3, your enemy is a computer program trying to present you with a challenge to destroy. Overkill is fun.
In World of Warcraft, your enemy is a human being trying to have fun. Sitting there watching your corpse be camped by some jerk isn't fun. Overkill there is you being a bully to ruin somebody else's fun. Go pick on somebody your own size, and then let them rez and come back to fight another day. The war is pathetic as an excuse because their death doesn't advance your side in the war, at all.

Listen, if you don't like ganking or corpse camping, transfer to PvE or shut up.
Oh, rest assured, "people" like you are why I don't play on PvP servers.
