HOwdy yall.
I am working on a block for phpnuke that pulls information from eqdkp. The block itself is working fine (well its browser dependant).
I am using the method posted by Arador
I've messed around with the XML feeds a bit and have modified the current wowhead script to accept straight up item names, as well as recognize custom item tags. It will also color the links according to the correct item quality on mouseover.
You can see it in action here:
http://www.ritsumei.org/wowhead/
Using the following in the javascript.php everything works
GREAT
(in IE)
// WOW tooltip
echo "<script src=\"
http://www.wowhead.com/widgets/power.js
\"></script>";
and
echo "<script language=\"JavaScript\" src=\"wowhead.js\"></script>";
However with Mozilla Firefox the above code also works with one twist... All of the "buttons" and text areas (boxes) stop working. Meaning I cannot type in the text areas. <textarea></textarea?
Does not matter if I made the page.... or if it was one included with the phpnuke distro (8.0).
If I comment out those lines everything goes back to normal (less the mouse overs of course).
Anyone got an idea whats going on?

Is there any way to have Wowhead tooltips work on item icons also? Maybe by putting an ID in the img tag or something like that?
<a href="

Doesn't work.

Here is the Seditio implementation. Confirmed to work just wonderful, look at

(while using the Crystal skin - a new and upcoming skin (so sorry, you have to register to check)) to see the effects.

The URL that links to phpBB_wowhead_mod.zip for Item Name integration in PhpBB3 is not working anymore. Does anybody have a valid url to download the zip file? I'd really like to get this integrated into my forums without having to resort to using an itemid.

I've messed around with the XML feeds a bit and have modified the current wowhead script to accept straight up item names, as well as recognize custom item tags. It will also color the links according to the correct item quality on mouseover.
You can find all my code here:
http://wowhead-tooltips.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/
Here's a sample of what kind of tags / links will be converted:
<a href="
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=Doombringer">Doombringer</a>
<a href="
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28658">Terestian's
Stranglestaff</a>
<item>Earthshaker</item>
<item>22632</item>
Note that this relies on a serverside php script to proxy the XML requests as Javascript does not allow cross-domain requests.
You can see it in action here:
http://www.ritsumei.org/wowhead/
Hello, are you still supporting this?
I havn't seemed to make it work, i just directly uploaded the 3 files from your SVN see:
http://mosanova.net/newfolder/
It seems like wowhead.js is not working at all.
Thanks in advance!

I'm using fireboard for joomla! I cannot for the life of me figure out how to put this code into my forums, since it uses a css, and thats the only option it gives me to edit via the admin panel.
Anyone have any luck with using it with fireboard?
You are certainly not the only one wanting this to work on fireboard. I am running Joomla 1.5.1 with fireboard 1.0.4 - does anyone have a how-to for fireboard as nice and detailed as the other how-to's
I've been reading and waiting to see if someone else would post a how-to and well it's been quite a while and I've yet to see one on fireboard.
If nothing else, which file do we edit. Something vanila like "the header file" is not helpful to someone that does not fool with code on a semi-regular basis, we'd need to know the exact file name to edit. With that we may at least get a good start and contribute our findings to produce a how-to for fireboard since no one has responded to this fellas post yet with one.
Thank you.
I made a post asking generically how to add the code on the fireboard forums, and I never got an answer either =\
Either way, if I find a solution I will be sure to post it, hope you're willing to do the same =D

I was wandering if there was a way to simply give the item_id tag and automatically display the item image, name and color it accordingly.
For example: 34605

There are some solutions for a few systems. I can recommend the wowhead-tag-plugin for vbulletin-boards. You can get it at

I have written my own method of adding Wowhead tooltips to your phpBB3 forums. It will automatically determine the quality, and page on Wowhead's website. More information can be found on another thread that I posted. Due to the length of the post, I decided it should get its own thread. Hope moderators/admins don't mind.
It can be found here:
