you mean shadowfury not shadowburn and i agree it does find a useful home in a destro build for exactly the reason you say. i find it's not something i'd ever really miss but it's nice to have.

Jude, I guess every group has the one scrub we carry. Explain to me how over 4 full clears of totgc10 and three full clears of totgc25 (with at least 41 attempts remaining on all of them; we don't have &*!@ties that get carried through 10) my imp has never come close to dying? You have #$%^ing 2300 sp ffs and your hit rating is a good 60 points too high to benefit from a 3/13/53+2 spec. And FYI the armory was down when I replied so I went off of your nonexistent achievements from your last wow-heroes update on the 10th, one day before your very first touching of totgc10, lol. Keep trying at locks kiddo, maybe that pesky math will stop proving that you're such a dumbass one of these days.

Edit: you say that since your imp died on a few fights (whether it should have or not is a separate question) and that it is as such worthless, and then go on to exclaim how amazing shadowfury is because it is useful on one and only one fight, despite the fact that it is virtually useless on all but 3 fights including hardmodes in any content that could possibly matter. How can someone with so much 232 garbage think they're anywhere close to decent at this game?

Edit two: just finished my totgc10 after reset and just thought you should know that my imp never died AND we got tribute to insanity. Have fun sucking ass at life @#$%head.

i think that level of insults is just inappropriate.
i also don't think soul link is needed and i have had it kill pets. would you like to use words that wowhead turns into punctuation to me too?

I don't understand what you are doing that is getting your pet killed from Soul Link. In a raid your imp should have at least 16,000 health. That means you would need to take 80,000 damage in order to kill your imp with Soul Link. And you are pumping ~500 healing into your pet every time you land a spell, along with the imp taking AoE splash healing periodically.

You said "Soul Link is for the FAIL!" It seems like anyone who has their Imp die from Soul Link is the one who is failing.

I prefer Soul Link to Shadowfury. Burning Bile, Arctic Breath, Massive Crash, Fire Bomb, Fel Lightning, Fel Streak, Mistress Kiss, , Touch of Darkness/Light, Light/Dark Surge, Penetrating Cold. Warlocks DO take damage. Any damage siphoned to your Imp SHOULD be healed by your Fel Synergy before it dies, in addition to splash AoE heals it may receive. You get benefit from Soul Link on every single fight. Anything that increases your chances of not accidentally dying is a good thing.

Shadowfury? You get benefit on Faction Champs. It's helpful, yes, but by no means "OMG Game Breaking" helpful. Our guild's warlocks don't use Shadowfury and we are clearing 25ToGC every week. Putting it up against Soul Link, I'd say Soul Link clearly gives more all around benefit than Shadowfury.
