Same error again even with files size around 240KB each. Did only 2 raid bosses and 2 or 3 heroics after cleaned up the files. Used to be able to upload lots of data after every few days.
Probably something else is wrong, maybe data from a particular zone / npc / quests etc. is getting corrupted or mismatch?

I had the time out thingy way to many times by now
I go and delete the "+Wowhead_Looter.lua" relaunch the game, sitting there and do nothing for a few mins (I presume the addon was meant to collect data from the Cache folder, all tho i thought that the addone were collecting them on the fly as you play), logging out starting the Wowhead client again, and YEAH i can upload the empty file now :(, looking at the client, "Size 76.5 kb, Loots 0, Locations 3, AH Price 0, Profiles 1" Yep i'm sure all the data that was in the Original files are there, with all those 0 :( (and that then make me return to, yep the data from the addone must be collected on the fly, and not from cache folder, since the cache is still intact.)
Its not a work around to be able to upload the data, its just a work around to "simulate" that you upload, but in real life nothing is getting uploaded, since when you now press Upload you get no error, so YEAH it works, no its not, you just upload nothing, and all the data that was originally collected is just wasted data...
And then state in post 1. "We're working on a resolution for this that we hope to implement in the coming months." coming months? a site that live off the data the users collect, cant just ah yeah well we fix it some time in a few month or well yeah some time we hope. :( (yeah i know probably only 0.0001% of the users that got this error, or 99.9998 just do not care to report it :))
And i have not been able to upload anything for around 2-3 weeks now, i do not want to press upload (after i did the "workaround" when i can see there is no data or anything in the file :(
Will it help you find a real solution if i mailed the larger "+Wowhead_Looter.lua" before the workaround, so you can take a look what might be the reason for the error ?
And yeah i might seams a bit upset in the text, but thats how i am sorry bout that :)

Yeah, I was considering sending my old files to wowhead's staff, I just don't know what email I should use.

yeah, or keep the file and just play til its a few TB large ?
Not even just a hour play time and then try to upload works, so i just let it grow now and see in a few month if it can upload by then :(

Guess I should explore the site more often don't think I ever seen this subforum. I was having issue for several days not being able to upload data from wowhead client & until I seen the known issue | Upload Failed / Server Timeout: Your file upload has grown too large and needs to be cleared. We're working on a resolution for this that we hope to implement in the coming months. In the meantime, please do the following: Delete the +Wowhead_Looter.lua (and +Wowhead_Looter.lua.bak) file in your World of Warcraft/WTF/Account/<Account Name>/SavedVariables folder. Then, go relaunch World of Warcraft. Give it a minute, close it and try to upload again. Was a fix for it , but what bother me is that in a day period I had 1mb to upload between 15 toons activities & I couldn't even though it was only like 7-8 hours of game play on my day off. Just think if I was to play longer then that ><..regardless thank for the fix & keep up the great work! (:

The fix doesn't really work for me. A single session puts my filesize over the upload limit now. Kind of sucks. :/

Ashley, our recent fix doesn't seem to have worked for everyone. Could you send your most recent log file to me via please? Open the Client and View -> Browse Log History and then send me the most recent .txt file you found after your latest attempt.
Thank you!

What's is the latest version of the wowhead client? Mine are 1.9.10 (built in the future on March 28, 2018). Perhaps it has something to do with that?

I kept having the same issue was trying the same method over & over would work for a bit if I do stuffs on a few toon at a time then log out to upload, but finally I got this error today

no matter what I do delete the +Wowhead_Looter.lua (and +Wowhead_Looter.lua.bak) file or re-download the wowhead client still the same issue. I can't even send the most recent log as the client auto close after you click okay. This is a big issue as there's constant data that can be used.. this whole not being able to upload even after wowhead compress the file is sad as I was using it for years with no problems why the hiccup all of a sudden?

I'm getting an error on initial load that says, "Could not process update list. Please try again later." After clicking okay it completely closes. I tried running Fiddler to see what address it may be trying to get to but nothing shows up. It just seems to be failing.
I removed the executable and downloaded a fresh one and got the same result.

Same issue here. Tried getting rid of the SavedVariable files since I've had problems in that direction on a constant basis, but that didn't help it either. I just can't even start the client at all.

Just got the client updated and everything working fine now, thanks!
Looks like file size problem may have been solved, I had files over 400KB each since couldn't upload for a while and with this update it was all done.

It was working fine for a little while , but just did it again & only on 280KB file was trying to upload. Until wowhead post a NEWS topic stating that they fix wowhead client no point in me using it if all I'm doing is deleting data.

We're still working on it. A recent fix was unsuccessful. It's one of our top priorities right now.

Looking forward to the fix. Watching the data pile up without being able to upload it (at least without constantly using workarounds) is starting to bother me a bit.

Just a bit Interest? It bothers me a ton! Various attempts to fix it haven't been successful, but, efforts continue.

I am having the same exact issue with the appearances tab refreshing to page 1 on my warlock but not other characters, when the unlearned filter is selected. This was reported by Manniala on page 10 of this thread on 4/18. Wowhead Looter addon is definitely the cause, the issue stopped when I disabled it.

So here's my question... since deleting those two files doesn't work most of the time, at least for some of us... some say those are the data we're collecting. Should we just sit on those files until there's a fix in instead of deleting them? Especially with 7.3 out now.
I really want to help here. Do we have any recourse?
