Hi. I've a problem with the Wowhead Client. After many problems, and a little bit of luck, i can use it "normally".... Just one thing. I can't make it start with Windows. I've checked the proper option but nothing... i've forced it making a link in the startup folder of Windows, but nothing. Any ideas?
PS I have Win 10
PPS Sorry for my english

I've been trying to upload for 3 days now. I get the "Wowhead is unable to process your upload at this time." error every time I try. I've waited for a bit and tried again, but to no avail. Suggestions?
I'm getting this problem too. The website seems to think I uploaded data though.

My sister is wondering how you log into the addon if you use your battle net info to log into the site and therefore do not have a traditional "user name and password"?(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##Replied to your email. :)

Current as of:
March 29, 2017, 10:40 AM Pacific
Fixed* | ADB files:
WoW
cache files
aren't
uploading. This was removed from the Client.
Why is this flagged as fixed, when it isn't?
Also, why isn't the random shut down bug not on the list? I reported it 5 years ago, and it have never been fixed (even though you claimed it was, but you just stopped responding to the thread) -->

I answered your other thread about ADB/Items/Cache.
Can't replicate the shut down issue you're describing from 5 years ago... we're also working with a client several versions newer. I don't have other reports of users having this issue. Are you sure it's not a antivirus incorrectly flagging the program and shutting it down? Have you ensured you're running it as administrator?

None the less, the problem was never solved..
It still shuts down at random times, sometimes twice in a day, sometimes it runs for 3-5 days before it shuts down..

"Wowhead is unable to process your upload at this time. Please try again in a bit!"
I try every couple of days...same message
I downloaded a new client..same message
what's up?

If you could go into your Wowhead Client, View > Browse Log History, this should open a folder with your logs. If you have 7zip on your computer or a similar utility, do you mind zipping those and sending them to ? This might help us troubleshoot this further for you. Thank you!

The in-game Appearances window, when i go to another page, a few sec later it re roll me back to page 1, i made a little video about it. I'm not sure why Wowhead Looter finds it necessary to refresh that every few sec, but well it does :D (video is probably still encoding the 1080p as i press send on this)

Made a ticket for this to be investigated. Thank you for the report!

@Sas148 it seams only to effect my Lock, so far i tried on all my other chars (got 1 of each on Silvermoon).
I then created another Lock on another server (Trial Char), and the same thing happened there, not sure why only on Locks..

This is live right? Not PTR?

Can you please do the following?
Delete the +Wowhead_Looter.lua (and +Wowhead_Looter.lua.bak) file in your World of Warcraft/WTF/Account/<Account Name>/SavedVariables folder. Then, go relaunch World of Warcraft. Give it a minute, close it and try to upload again.(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##Note: This seems to work for everyone experiencing the issue.

Update: I fixed my problem using this method i found on the site answers.microsoft.com.
1. Hold the windows key+R and bring up the run dialog box and type in "regedit" and hit enter
2. Navigate to this registry key location:
"hkey_local_machine\software\wow6432node\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run"
3. Right click on the right side of the panel and go to New->String value and that will create a new string value that you can rename to the name of the program you want to run
4. Double click your new string value and under where it says "value data" type/paste in the dialog box the path to the program (copying it from the desktop shortcut is the easiest) . In my case, my Wowhead_client is in: "C:\Wowhead\Wowhead_client.exe"
5. That's it! You're done. And now you can restart your PC to check and see that the desired program now starts up automatically with Windows 10!
Attention! Because you could make many problems when you're using "regedit", make a backup of the registry before.
I'm sorry for my english, and if i can enter the link to the site please tell me and i'll edit this message
Thanks

Let me know what happens! :)
This fixed the problem for me, though it cost me nearly 10 MB of collected data. Did it get corrupted somehow?(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##Not sure why it happened exactly. Only seems to be a small minority experiencing it though so at least it's not everyone. I'm sure most of the lost data will be acquired again pretty easily. Thank you!

I had a forced upgrade of windows 10 late last week, and ever since the upgrade wowhead client crashes when I exit WoW. Statistics are all 0 according to the client, but everything worked before the OS upgrade.
I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the client.
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17218/windows-10-whats-new-in-this-update
This is the update feature list, and the only thing I see there that might have an effect is the change to Windows Defender.

I'm getting this problem too. The website seems to think I uploaded data though.
Also having this issue. Deleting the wowhead looter files in savedvariables folder of my account has worked. Lots of lost data though, very sad.

Same here. After deleting my saved data, I could finally upload again after over a week, but all that data is now lost. Oh well.
Thanks for the fix, but you might want to think about adding this to the error message (Just something like "If this keeps happening, please delete xyz" and so on), because actually finding this fix in the depths of a thread that doesn't even show up on Google won't be possible for everyone using your client.

Is there a size limit on the uploaded data set? My raw saved data was over 7 MB this time. Maybe it takes so long for the server to analyze the upload that the client times out?
