Since u start at 55 ill be making a unholy/blood DK, in Unholy i will use 43 points up to Dirge, then in blood and in blood ill get butcher. After that ill keep adding points to blood.

Most likely, pretty much even Blood/Unholy. I'm interested in PvP so that seems like it'll work nicely.

Clearly I'll choose unholy. What's best than summoning 1-10 undead at the time?:P
but you can only have a max of 2 at a time =P by visas actually theirs a spell tht summons an undead army but i believe its either channeled or dies quickly.
Army of the dead is channeled, it will be easily interruptible and if the undead remain after the channel, they wont last for a very long duration.

i like tanking too, but i've already tanked most content at 70 as both a prot pally and feral druid.
My dk will be a pvp character for the most part. I might spec frost to get some gear first at 80 but after that it'll be some mix of blood/unholy, not sure which i'll primarily go into yet.

I think army of undead spawns 8 ghouls but I am not sure(duration of spell varies from the talents),OFC when the spell fades also undead fade right away.So if you spec in unholy you can summon 2 ghouls and 8 ghouls more from army of undead(I think)

with the recent change to talents, it looks like you'll only be able to have one ghoul minion from raise dead (dirge was removed). Now, according to current info and the talents in the unholy tree, untalented raise dead is a 5 min cooldown and the ghoul that you summon lasts 2 minutes. Talented raise dead has a 2.5 minute cooldown, and the ghoul lasts 3.5 minutes - so, it may be possible to have two ghouls at a time still, as the cooldowns and durations overlap - but at least we know we'll always have a ghoul active as long as we have a supply of bodies to summon them from.
Personally, I kinda hope they do restrict it to one ghoul from raise dead, and then give it an action bar so it's various abilities can be controlled (ghouls have a few different types of attacks, ranging from things like rend to applying diseases).
Other than the raised ghoul and one gargoyle every 5 minutes or so, we wont have any other pets. Army of the dead is channeled, so it wont be all that useful in most situations - even so, the summoned army of ghouls only lasts for 13 seconds with max runic power built up.
So other than your single ghoul companion, unholy will probably rely more on it's diseases and debuffs for effectiveness. You'll likely play more like a warlock or hunter than a necromancer with tons of undead at his disposal =P

if you hate fighting affliction locks, you'll probably hate fighting deathknights even more.
if you hate playing as an affliction lock, you might want to consider not playing a deathknight, as they'll be very similar (at least, unholy DK's will be).
Right now, the unholy talent tree has elements similar to both the demonology and affliction trees in it. High survivability and damage mitigation (particularly against magic damage) and lots of Damage-Over-Time effects that will end up being your primary source of damage.

probably the unholy tree still. It's the tree that will give you 'pets' (one ghoul, maybe two, and a gargoyle) and has the damage mitigation spells (anti-magic zone, bone armor, magic suppression).
But it's combat system still appears to function similarly to an affliction lock. You stack diseases (which are all, at the moment, damage-over-time effects) on the target, and your other abilities start to do more damage as the dots stack up.

Trying out unholy...lots of fun so far. As for the starting talent points, let's just say there is an interesting way they've handled that for now. But of course everything is subject to change.
