There are
plenty of other recipes that are orange up to or past 250. Choose 1 depending on the mats you have and the price of the others on your server. Almost all of them are learned via trainer so you won't have to search around for an expensive recipe on the AH or out-of-way vendors.

I'd suggest looking to see if there are other schematics available -- either through the auction house or through various merchants (of course searching here on wowhead will help a lot).
I remember hitting a rough patch about there with my engineer, but I don't recall offhand what I found to make. I think I did end up making a number of goggles, then sent those to my enchanter for disenchanting fun. Selling goggles on the auction house is pretty pointless (since any engineer who can use the goggles can make them).
But with the Lunar Festival, you may want to look at the fireworks schematics available in the Moonglade.
Fariel Starsong has a few recipes for 225 engineering. Those will be green, but the materials aren't too expensive (solid blasting powder and thick leather for the
Red Rocket Cluster). Should be a lot less expensive than the thick leather and star rubies for the goggles, anyway.
The firework launcher (not the cluster launcher, that's at 275 Engineering) doesn't turn yellow until 245, but the materials for that are a little more expensive -- and again, the launcher is one of those things that isn't too useful for non-engineers, so making multiples probably isn't a good investment.
For reference, a
list of Engineering schematics, sorted by skill level. Like I mentioned initially, I'd start by looking there to see if there's something that you don't have and isn't too hard to acquire.
Edit: Ninja'd! Also:

Aha! So
that's how you filter!
I was looking at the "Database >
Items > Recipes > Engineering" and couldn't narrow it down by skill level. Spells! I didn't even think of that.
As much as I enjoy Wowhead, there are a lot of things you can do with the database that are not intuitive -- and it's easy to get on the wrong track.
