Perhaps you can add a section on leveling builds?
Not really something I'm too interested in doing. I gave you a rating for farming already. In leveling I expect people to play around with different specs while making use of the individual ratings I gave. You need to learn how to judge a talent's usefulness and this is a mere "guide" on how to do that.
So for future reference, Farming = Leveling in terms of your grading system on builds? Noted.

PVE Fire Build
if you will:
Imp Left out usually for 5-mans for Improved Blood Pact. Sacrificed during Raids
Improved Shadowbolt there incase you're in a 5-man or 10-man with a shadowpriest and no mages with improved scorch. Sacrifice the Succy. Cataclysm isn't worth it IMO. 1 free Spell out of 20 can't even touch ISB.
I don't think I've been in a 25-man without
Improved Scorch
up. It's hard to find shadowpriests though.

I just began wondering why would you put that filler point in emberstorm rather than aftermath, since with it you can actually have some, extremely minor benefit from the talent point. Or is dazing a mob a bad thing?

Because Emberstorm boosts Immolate, and should you in a rare case need to pull aggro from a healer, it boosts Searing Pain. As negligible as these effects are, they're worth worlds more than the
pathetic
Aftermath talent.
And by the way, bosses are generally immune to Daze, I believe. I'd assume a lot of trash is too.
When do you actually use immolate anyway? And if it is for the aggro pulling from the healer, wouldn't improved searing pain be better?

Fire sac is an excellent raid spec
Conflag is a major part in any fire rotation
Conflag probably shouldnt be on your rotation in this case. Though it does reasonable damage, its mana efficiency is very, very poor.
EDIT: I take this comment back. Conflag is actually ok to use, its shadowburn thats the inneffecient one. My apologies!
also NEF, you comment that Fire DS/SaF is ineffecient, its actually much more mana efficent than shadow. though incin has a shorter cast time than SB (so you spam more per minute), its 40% cheaper on the mana. Even taking into account the need to keep up immo its more efficient than shadow.
EDIT 2: Again, as per my edit above, conflag is much cheaper than its shadow comparison, shadowburn - despite conflag having higher damage.

is this real???! or just u say it (u think)???????
....?
I was about to write a post explaining subjective versus objective, situtational applicability, and theorycrafting.
Then I looked at the original post again and realized I'd be wasting my time.
The rankings of talents are Nef's opinion on the talents. This opinion is formed both by his own experience and by the mathematics run by people who have more level 70s and/or college degrees than dates in their whole lives. He and I may disagree on specific rankings, but it will only be by a manner of relative value - that there are clearly good talents and clearly bad talents for different warlock tasks is not in debate.
The builds themselves often have a fair number of "optional" points that can be shifted around in the middle of the tree without breaking it. The highest talents should, as a rule, be left alone as they are often the core of the bulid's effectiveness.

The point of something like this is to have a resource available for the newer warlocks, not to split hairs or substitute my own preferences for yours.
The distinctions I would make are insignificant and wouldn't add to the guide in any useful manner. Anyone who spends the time following this forum, the warlock's den forums, or playing the game will make their own adjustments depending on their needs as they learn. There's no need to adjust anything, as any discussion of talents can easily be dealt with in the forum itself .
