Should I drop Blacksmithing?

I've been trying to keep blacksmithing up with my level(32) but it just costs so much copper and the copper on the AH is around 35g per stack... My Mining is staying with or above my level but Blacsmithing is just so hard to raise... So should I drop Blacksmithing for something different?

If you're finding that it costs too much for you, then by all means pick a different profession.
However, copper is relatively easy to get at level 32. I'd suggest making a few gathering runs to supply yourself whenever you're in a main city. You can also sell any excess for gold on the AH.
If you haven't yet this week, drop by the Darkmoon Faire and do the profession quests to get a free 5 skill levels.

If your having issues with copper your not going to like Mithril and Thorium. Those are some of the hardest to skill threw because of the amount of mats that are used.
Copper is pretty easy to farm even after you get a Ground Mount. Try looking at the Copper Ore Page and look where to farm it at. The Areas have pins marking where the Nodes are so that you can get a farming rotue.

It sounds to me like the OP is trying to grind out the professions with the level and honestly - I wouldn't recommend it.
Though it's your $14.99, life as a gathering professional becomes so much easier once you can fly - which only comes with levels. If you stall your character level gaining while trying to farm up more mats I think you'll become more frustrated.
Typically, in my experience, it is so much easier to begin working on any of the professions around L60. That way - you can fly around and gather what you need, and if you are sort on funds.... you can grind on some humanoids to help supplement your personal wealth.
Hope this helps!

Because Blizzard has steadfastly refused to lower the mats required to level a profession even though you now go through older content twice as fast as was originally intended I would not consider taking any of the Armor Making professions unless you can pimp them out with mats from other higher level characters that can fly. Further since mining seems to be a problem, avoid jewel crafting as well.
I would take two gathering profs and either sell or store the mats if I were you. If you have to do a craft then I would go with either Alchemy or Inscription.

I should tell you, when farming Mithril, choose thousand needles, and make sure you do the initial Speedbarge quests. You get an underwater breathing buff tha covers all the needles, and allows you to move faster while "walking" underwater. It's, in my experience, the best place to get mithril.
Remember this for farming mats, the small looking glass icon next to your mini-map in the upper corner? Click on that and select "find materials" and new ore nodes will show up on your mini-map when you get near them.

One thing you could do is drop Blacksmithing for Herbalism. If you farm herbs and ore as you level, you can sell off what you gather for gold. Then, hopefully by the time you hit max level, you'll have enough/close to enough gold to power level Blacksmithing to max. (Which is something I'm making gold hand over fist with on my high pop server, the new twink blue gear procs make a killing.)

Have to agree, especially if your new and dont have gold to throw at new chars, just lvl with 2 gathering profs keep all the mats for the prof you want to lvl up and ah anything else.
Alternatively can level with tailoring and enchanting quite easily if your doing alot of dungeons while lvling (or i guess even questing but I doubt you would get enough cloth to keep it up with your lvl)

if you are leveling by questing, it's best to take mining and herbalism.
you can sell ores/bars and herbs or stock them in your bank. if you sell them, you will have enough gold for whatever you need when you reach higher levels. And later on you can gather all the materials you need and drop one of the gathering profession and take level up another you want.
