Hey guys,
I would like to play a healer in MoP and because my guild could need a tank-healer I decided to play my level 85 Paladin to level 90.
I can't reach level 90 by healing in dungeons alone so I want to do quests. But I think it is impossible to do quests with a holy spec or heal-equipment.
When can I start to collect heal-gear?
Do I get a heal-item for every slot from Dread Wastes quests alone? Is it even possible to get heal-gear if I play as Retribution-Paladin?
Thx in advance.

From my experience, you can lvl as holy. I did it to lvl 90 by a mix of quests, bgs, and dungeons. The quests will seem hard at first, but you quickly get gear that has more intellect and thus do more damage. I mainly spammed denounce and when they were nearly dead, finish with a holy shock and hammer of wrath.
It isn't as efficient as Ret, but u will get holy gear. It also helped in bgs and dungeons - healers tend to win more bgs and faster queue times for dungeons.

Pro tip: Heirlooms stop giving exp bonus, when you outgrow their level.
And they are inferior (greatly inferior) to the items of the next expansion to their max level. (I.e. heirloom weapon is like 20% worse than level 80 Cata blues.)

Max level of heirlooms comes in 5.2 (or later) but won't apply to already bought heirlooms from what I've read so far.
